10 wins was good enough to scrape into the top eight last year. A win at Wakefield sees Salford halfway there with 13 games to play.

With so many teams in the mix this season I think a couple of more wins may be required to guarantee a top eight finish.

Think we are currently in limbo untill the outcome of our alleged salary cap breach.

I don't think the gulf in quality is as clear cut this season between the top 8 and bottom 4, so my gut feeling is that we'll need a few more wins under our belt than last season.

I believe the standard of Superleague has dropped this year which was rightly highlighted in the World Club Challenge. This is why theres close nip and tuck scorelines. There's usually a lot more drubbins. I also believe positions 5-10 will be closely competitive with Goal difference being the decisive tool for separating the quagmire of clubs bunched between 5-10

I still can't believe we have a positive goal difference (+5) after 9 games

I think if we got to 22/24 points (any reduction aside) we would be safely top 8, does make it so annoying when capitulate as away at Hull KR and the poor showing Good Friday. Still think we have a big scalp or 2 in us this season and Leeds in a couple of weeks is a prime example.

Still having 7 homes games is good, improve on the 50/50 home win ratio so far this season and that will go a decent way towards that.

Any points deducted for the trouble could make a difference.

How can they possibly deduct points from Salford for the crowd trouble? No precedent for it, and how can they be so sure they were Salford fans. They could have been Hudds fans in our end for all we know. Imagine if it came to the end of season and only a couple of points between a few bottom clubs, all you need to do is go in the away end and cause trouble getting them docked points. Also it's down to Hudds to control safety , not the away team, so any penalty should be going their way.

You lot won't get any points deducted for what happened last sunday,remember what our (widnes) imbeciles did in the cc semi 2 years ago

I feel sorry for the true loyal fans as this lot are a minority that I guess will pick and choose their games

And the way marwan has conducted himself will go a long way to see you through it

Now the hearing on the salary cap is totally different situation

We've played some of the top teams this year at home. We gave winnable home games in Wakefield,KR,Hudds, Cas and maybe even Hull. 10 points that we should be really taking which should take us up to the 20 points mark. To be safe when the points deduction comes we need another win or two against teams like Leeds or Wigan at home.
