As amsusing as this is with the hashtag, I don't see the logic of sending Carl Swinton. Got be infront of Joseph, the Walne's and George Griffin for me? Seems to be underrated, if it was game time he needed, could of sent him Wrexham this afternoon.

I'm shocked at how little someone of Tim Sheens experience actually knows.

The uber coaches on here and Twitter could learn him a thing or 3.

Total over reaction - sensible move for all parties - Carl will gain valuable game time not to mention experience and will link well there with Liam Hood. No doubt he will still train with the lads at the AJB. I would think more will follow as 32 into 17 just doesnt go..

It also strengthens a team Leigh face which can only be a good thing.

Can see either MCB or Johnson following him, both not getting game time is a waste when both have the talent they have.

A larger squad was always a priority after last season saw us severely weakened on this score. The only way to keep players match fit with their eye on the ball is to give them game time, and short-term loans is the only way to do that in the British game at the moment. He wont be the last to get this treatment this season.

I trust the judgement of the coaching staff 100%, so far I like what they have changed on & off the pitch.

I was surprised but bow to the superior knowledge of the coaches.
If he's not in the 17 then he needs game time somewhere.
I just have a feeling they don't fancy him ,though.

Surely Sheen's and the coaching staff are in a much better position to make a judgement. They can see everyday what they have and they'll also have all the training test results to support the decision. Isn't it better Forster will be getting valuable game time rather than observing from the stand?

As been said on here, a few more players may follow .

The young lads are not gonna get game time now there is no A Team to play in, so it is either sit on the bench not getting game time, or be loaned out to a lower league team and get game time.

I would rather have a full time A team with all other Super league teams, but it wont happen with the muppets in charge at the RFL.

So loaned out, play your heart out for the team you play for , keep yourself in the Salford coaches limelight, score trys and 100% effort every game will get you noticed more than sat on the bench at Salford.

Didn't do George Griffin any harm going out on loan last year

I think there was a bigger Twitter reaction to Carl Forster joining Swinton one a ONE MONTH loan, than there was when Rangi, Hansen and Paterson (combined) joined Leigh.

Carl is only 23, very young in prop terms. A month at Swinton will do him well, the Championship looks an even tougher league than it was last year. He will come back a better player for it, with a lot more minutes on the clock. Which he needs and wont get here throughout February.

I know this Sheens hasn't got a clue what he's doing, sending Carl Forster out on loan, how dare he! Looks to me like he's blagged his whole career at the top of the game.

I see at least a ten of the squad having to go on 1 month loans.
they either can't qualify for U19's games & will need regular competitive games to keep ball skills & fitness levels OK .
it's simply the structure of the competition these days without a serious U23's - reserve fixtures to get 1st team squad players back to full fitness or bring up younger players to a serious level .
