New Zealand Win Defensive Grind to Level Test SeriesAfter last weekends dominant win for Steve MacNamara's England over the New Zealand tourists, both sides and an eager crowd made their way to christen the Olympic Stadium with its first taste of rugby league.
The England side were unchanged from last weeks victory but Stephen Kearney rang the changes with Kodi Nikorima coming into the half backs in place of Lolohea and Alex Glenn and Lewis Brown on the bench.
A win for England would seal the series, their first in eight years, but a win for the Kiwis would take it down to the wire with the decider at the DW Stadium in Wigan next weekend.

| Just watchd the game on TV. Enjoyed what was a TEST match, lots of hard work by players of both teams. But, as much as I think he is a good player, George Williams is not at international level yet, he may be in some years time. We need a top scrum half in this team

| Both half backs were disappointing. There was no spark or an ability to beat a man. Defensive effort immense but need some guile to get runners away.

| Immense game defensively but I think everyone knew that today would be a Kiwi victory, RL has a passion for a decider rather than a dead rubber.
Bateman wouldn't be in the squad never mind playing if he wasn't a Wigan player. Williams in the halves is not the answer as he couldn't unlock a defence with a skeleton key.
Best stadium I've visited in the UK, £5 for a pie aside there was not one thing wrong with the venue. For me the RFL should play as many games there as possible.

| Thought our halves were poor. Williams is definitely not ready for this level yet. Forwards were immense with the exception of our second-rows who were pretty quiet in both departments. An enjoyable game but both sides were reluctant to show flair in case it cost them the game, which was a shame. I think the decider will be a much more open affair.
