Is anyone confident of reaching the top 3 with our remaining fixtures?

If Wakefield and Bradford lose and we beat Sheffield then we can only finish 4th on goal difference.

We have the highest points in the Qualifiers with 140 points but to concede 113 points is a bit of a worry. Lets hope we go out on Saturday and put as many points on the board.

A lot of people think Widnes & Hull KR will easily beat us but looking back at the season we just had its just depends which Salford team turns up. We lost to Widnes in the last minute at their place due to a bad error and the same against Hull KR with the kick off.

I think this weekends game is incredibly important, we need to put a cricket score on Sheffield as can see the points +/- being the difference between 2nd and 3rd.

Chase playing would be ideal, think he would have one hell of a point to prove and could fill his boots.

Points difference could be absolutely critical.
I'm concerned about saying we need to score 50+ against Sheffield as it indicates we're underestimating them.
However,we do need to win with a big score and,just as importantly,keep their score down

From reports, Sheffield weren't a bad side last weekend. In our favour (in theory) is that they have already named players who are leaving them but could be playing against us.

Quite bluntly, so long as we beat Sheffield, winning against at least one of Widnes and HKR is vital. I am less worried about the scoreline on Sunday than winning 2 of the next 3 games.

Hood was named as M.O.M in League express v Halifax. Gives us that spark to win games

A big mention also to Tommy Lee. I thought his kicking game was superb, I've never see n that side of his game before and was quite impressed.

Best kicking game from a Salford player all season for me from Lee and when Hood came on he gave much more go forward.

Ideal solution would be hood and Lee as hookers and Chase at #6 for me. If Chase is still on the naughty step then Lee in the halves and keep Hood on for the full 80, load the bench with big forwards and try and stream roller Sheffield.

I thought Hood was superb. His two passes from dummy half to put Johnson looked simple, but they were deceptive. He had the defence going the wrong way. He has to be in the team in my view

I think the game that could be crucial is Wakey v Widnes, if Wakey pick up a win there they then only have Halifax and Sheffield left to play which they should win and rack up some points in the process.

If we don't get anything from Hull KR or Widnes away then I really think we'll be in that million pound game...GULP

im working on the logic that if HKR are safe by the last game (which they should) they could field a slightly weakened side and wouldn't be as interested? Its in our hands and we are good enough to do this.

By the time we play KR, they will have played Bradford and Sheff so could potentially have amassed 10/12 points and be home dry.

I know it's the old added cliche of on the day we can beat anyone and we certainly seen it happen the other way at Bradford, but I feel we can come away with a result from Hull, Widnes I'm not so confident about.

As many have said we shouldn't take Sheff for granted but we need to put a good score in and tighten up the defence as we let in some soft try's against Fax.

If we, Widnes, can beat Wakey at the weekend then it should see us and yourselves on 8 points.

Wakefield, Leigh and Sheffield could then only get a maximum of 8 points and Bradford a possible 10 (although very unlikely).

A draw the following week between ourselves would see us both safely in the top 3 with 9 points.

I don't understand why people think Hull KR would be a walk over when we play them. They may have already qualified by the time we play them but it would be their last home game of the season so i would suggest they will wanna win. If we beat Sheffield then id rather get the 2 points at Widnes.

Who's mentioned a walk over at KR my opinion is we've got more chance of a result at KR than Widnes, as yours is the opposite.
