Our U19's beat Bradford away last night, 16-10 to record their 8th consecutive victory in a row. A fantastic achievement when you consider the difficult start to the season they endured.

Martin Gleeson appears to be doing a great job. Obviously this season we've also seen Ryan Lannon, Matty Gee and Josh Wood appear in the first team and only just this week promising centre Jake Bibby signed a professional contract with us.

Their next game is at home next Thursday 7.00pm KO. The boys deserve the support and of course entry is free for all season ticket holders.

Whilst acknowledging the brilliant effort, dare I ask what we are playing for/towards? Is it for a place in the upper echelons? Or is it to maintain our position in the top league?

I think we're playing for/towards the title of 'Group 2' champions. As far as I know, there isnt any P&R in the academy set-up and the idea of the group split is to ensure after x amount of rounds, teams play more competitive and closely fought games rather than taking a thumping off the usual crowd.

Saw bits of the game against Les Catalans the other week, who was the #4? He was one seriously big unit and had a bit of pace to.

Number 4 is Jake Bibby future looks bright for this lad! Also just to add it's 7 wins in 8 as Wire beat them in the final game of the regular season.

Thought it might be him, he really is massive, one thing if he doesn't make it in the centres you'd think the back row would beckon.

I think he is a dead cert for the centre position and still time to develop as well. I think he will become a regular in the next 2 years as long as we keep hold of him!

Jake has just signed a new full-time deal so will be with us for the foreseeable future at least. I'm surprised the club haven't announced anything.
