Since we changed to black and red, we cant even get into the Mackem's support down the road.

I said to friends as soon as it was announced we should try and bring out a black and white kit, not much use suggesting it too the club as things tend to get ignored.

Definitely. It suits Widnes to do it, not us. However, we could have a bit of public banter here by going with red shirts, white shorts, red socks, and claiming the historical high ground (those being Newcastle United’s original colours). That’s what I’d do marketing wise.

We have it covered. The players are going to wear magpie costumes and sing 'fog on the tyne' with Gazza just before the game kicks off.

What are the odds on Gaz Hock turning up hammered with some chicken and a fishing rod?
