I think 2 Griffins will miss out. Ben Jones-Bishop is a concern, far far too injury prone.

I fear the worst for Saturday, that squad looks average. But then again, how many times has the squad looked class and failed to deliver? RL is not played on paper.

I know MCB was v.poor against Saints, but even so he's still a better option than Josh Griffin in the centres isn't he? J.Griffin is a winger, pure and simple for me. Ben Jones-Bishop has trained with the team since his injury and even took part in the contact sessions vs the Aussie teams, so I am sure he's fine. Unless it's just too soon to risk him?

Looking forward to seeing Evalds and Fages both start, would be great if Walton and Hood both got a deserved spot on the bench too.

No, IMO Josh Griffin is by far the better option in the centres at the moment. Caton-Brown is a liability in defence and should be out of the way on wing. In an ideal world we wouldn't have either in the centres, but for me Griffin is the better option at this moment in time.

They may even use walton in the centres to shore up the defence.

Fair point, if Walton comes into the centre I’d move J Griffin to the wing in place of Caton-Brown (Purely for Griffins goal kicking) and bring G Griffin onto the bench to take up Walton’s bench.

Other than be fat what has Taylor done wrong? He's our second highest tackler (joint with J Griffin interestingly) and the highest average gain maker by a forward (joint with Cory P). And 8th on missed tackles having missed only 3

So Huaraki and Taylor have posted impressive stats in the games they've played so far. With them 2 and Moz in the pack we look a lot more solid.

I can't believe we've signed another load of crocks (yes that's crocks with a R) in Locke, Dobson, Paterson, BJB.

I think Moz will have a stormer after 3 weeks off and we'll win this one. Everyones got a lot to prove after the St's game.

He’s far too slow after making a tackle and doesn’t look like he’s capable of getting back into position quick enough thus leaving gaps in our defence. In all fairness he’s played doubled the games of our other forwards i.e Morley, Tasi, Hauraki etc so would expect his average to be higher.

Lets see how he does against his hometown club and the team he cant wait to join in 2016, it seemed like a stupid short-term signing at the time and I’m still to be impressed.

I agree it did seem like a stupid short-term signing at the time, but I've been fairly impressed with him.

When I first seen him against Dewsbury I feared the worst, but apart from him being a little on the large size I think he's gone ok and deserves his place. Menzies and Forster will get their chance, I'm sure.

I'm also happy to see Adam Walne getting a decent run in the side after a long term injury last year. He has plenty of aggression for a young prop and I can only see him improving. Jordon Walne however needs to up his game after a dismal defensive performance against Saints (he was up there with Caton-Brown for being truly woeful)

i think they all looked pretty out of shape so far. I hope MCB plays on wing he has pace to burn

Why not loan MCB back to London Broncos?
He could work on and improve his game in the championship.

I know what you mean about short term signing but we needed another prop so it was a fix for now. I think he's gone well so far. His average fain won't be higher because he's played both games, that's why I chose that one, he's obviously made more metres than Morley and Tasi cost he's had more drives and fame time but he has made more ground with each carry than either of them, that's not because of more game time. The higher number of tackles is but he's also made more tackles than Hansen, Hock, D Griffin and A Walne who have all also played 2 games

I'd forget about singling out individuals, we got embarrassed because we were collectively very poor. It's a team game and not many can hold their heads high after the Saints debacle. I'm hoping we have had several wounded animals after that horror show with that extra determination to put in a big performance tonight.

I think what could help us this evening is the 16 days recovery and preparation between matches, compared to five against St Helens after a tough physical encounter at Warrington.

What we need tonight is a solid disciplined performance, patience when we have the ball, and a much improved kicking game.

RedShed - I think you're right - after the Wire game everyone I spoke to agreed that the Wire game was tough in the extreme - Dave Hadfield tweeted this "forget the final score for a minute. the first 25 mins of wolves v Salford was as intense as anything I've seen for a very long time." - 5 days recovery then loosing our fullback, scrum half and loose forward was never the best recipe for a decent performance against Saints.

As an outsider watching the Salford v Saints game I would suggest your two greatest concerns were a team who did not look interested and tactics that were shocking - COACH impacts on both, has Sheens arrived yet because when he does I expect you to start moving up the table
