| This is the boring time of the year,so a couple of questions for the boffins
1. Name the Salford team that took the field against Oldham when David Watkins made his debut
2. A Salford full back around that time was David Evans. Couldn't pass !
Was he Ieuan Evans dad ?
I don't know the correct answers !

I am sure that David Evans was signed from Rochdale Hornets and I don't think that he was Ieuan Evans dad.
He couldn't pass as you say but did some mesmerising runs from full back.

Great spot!
Will see if I can get it amended
Missed him out of my 2011 list so his overall total on my list was at 8
As for Hancock, scored 7 tries in 2001 and didn't get any in the 11 games he played in 2002
If I get time I also have hat-tricks, goals, drop-goals & red cards that could be done in the same format

Darrell Goulding
Dominic Manfredi

| Here’s one, what is unique about Salford’s first Championship title in 1914?

| I remeber we beat the famous "team of all talents" Huddersfied after coming second in the table but winning the play-offs.
I doubt that is unique but ... could it be the financial situation and why we were Salford (1914) for most of our history?

I think it'll be that: the only club to win the championship whilst in receivership. It's a feat we almost repeated 100 years later, apart from the 'winning the championship' bit.

Yep as above I'll go with the only Team to win the Championship whilst in the hands of the official receiver.
According to my Darrell Platt book , the club was wound up after , and re formed as '1914 Ltd'
Also remarkable considering Huddersfield's Albert Rosenfeld scored 80 tries that season , still a record held today and likely forever.
After their Loss to Salford Huddersfield went onto to remain unbeaten for the next 43 matches , ( 5 years! due to the small issue of the 1914-18 war ) , again a record held to this day .
OK , further Trivia:-
the 1913/14 championship playoff
1.What was the Score ?
2.Where was the Game Played ?
3.Name Salford's top tryscorer in season 13/14

Actually bang on
Goulding 2 tries against Hull FC whilst on loan 2009 ( his 2nd , but home debut ).
Manfredi - 2 tries last season against Warrington on his 1st & only appearance .

Yes. Only the receiver allowed the club to borrow money to pay wages to finish the season.
Okay, in addition to Middleman's questions:
1) Name the Members of Parliament that served as club President/Chairman
2) Name the companies that have featured on the Salford jerseys over the years
3) Name the sponsors of the cups where Salford featured in the final
Bonus: include friendlies and sevens/nines tournaments.

I have no idea about question 1.
(I'll let others have the chance to name the following)
Question 2: I've got 20
Question 3: Struggling with 11.
