I have been away on business the last couple of days in Surrey near Brighton. After one particular meeting I was discussing with a couple of lads what sport they followed, of course they said football, however one asked me who do I follow in football, I replied I follow rugby. To my amazement one of the lads said do you follow Rugby league & knowing where I came from said your club is on the up due to Dr Marwan Koukash. I was gob smacked, the most I would have expected was he was aware there was a game called rugby league.
Well done Dr clearly publicity any kind good or bad is having an affect.

Well I met a family from Windsor today who support Chelsea. They asked who I support. When I said Salford Red Devils, after a long blank look, they asked if that was Manchester United Reserves! I had to explain that we are the original Red Devils.

There's a decent size RL club down there called Sussex Merlins. At the start of the year Koukash reached out to both them and my own club (Newham Dockers) to find out more about the game down here on Twitter. Our Chairman and a couple of players ended up going up to a game as his guest. Suspect they're involved at Merlins and know of him from there.
