| Not really if you saw Danny play recently. The Injuries seem to have taken their toll on his body. He lost the pace he had and has struggled

| With Locke arriving, Evalds really impressing everyone (bar LeagueWeekly), and Johnstone back; it follws that Williams would be sitting out most games unless we get injuries. His tenure at Salford may be drawing to a close, so why not allow him to show himself off.

And presumably now Josh Hodges an option, Meli still in front of him and Caton-Brown could potentially do a job on the wing if needed
Danny has always given his all for Salford and has scored some cracking tries over the few seasons he's had with us, if he does end up moving on permanently I'd thank him for his efforts in his time with us

| I don't understand why we'd send him to a rival who are fighting to avoid relegation at this stage of the season.
Surely a loan to a Championship team would have been the better option?

It's stranger that Bradford sign a winger when they seem OK in in this area with Kear, Foster and George. I can think of other positions in the team that would have a bigger impact.

| I like Danny Williams (not in a Jimmy Savile way), and think he's a better winger than Jodie Broughton, just not as fast, obviously. However, as Red Willow says, the injuries have taken their toll. He's spent a lot of time on the sidelines this past couple of years, and it always seems to be down to hamstring problems. Even now, on the few occasions he's played this season, he seems to be limping. I hope it works for him, but fear that Bradford have signed a player whose injuries will keep him out of the team.

I suppose we need better wingers than Danny in order to progress but I hope they come with as much heart

| Never been the same player since his injuries, he seems to run like he thinks his hamstrings will give way at any moment. Solid player though who is probably playing for a contract in the Championship next season.

| Probably won't see Danny in a Salford shirt. Will be lost remembered for his blistering start when he came on a trail to earn a contact. Always liked him and ran the ball in hard unlike Jodie who seems to stop just before contact. Wish him well as previous people mentioned his injuries may have caught up in him and hope he earns himself a contract over at the Bulls!

| WTF???
Where on earth has this blistering pace come from? I never saw ti at his debut or any game after?
To say he was better than Jodie is an absolute Joke! Not even in the same league as Jodie!
He tries hard but my god he’s prone to error and can’t catch a bomb, will however miss his hand up apology (guaranteed one a game).
Thanks for the ffort Danny, but no way is he SL standard

| Danny Williams was an average winger at best, so with Evalds, Johnson, Griffin & Meli i feel we have better players there already! With what look like a weak position isn't looking too bad now.

| People preferred Danny Williams to Jodie Broughton? Wow.
Talking of Jodie, he must be dissapointed how this season has panned out so far. His stats are still pretty impressive though, 7 tries in 11 appearances. I'm sure he would have expected to play a bigger part than he has thus far.

I really like Jodie. He's a traditional speedy winger. He is suspect under the high ball though, and it's a skill he's going to need to become a top class winger.

Bloody hell, you're easily upset. Let me try to explain why I think Danny Williams was (before injuries took their toll) the better winger. Jodie has blistering pace, but that's about all. He doesn't seem to have any evasion skills whatsoever, which means he's only really effective if there's someone to put him through a gap. When he got the ball in traffic (which he usually did), he rarely - if ever - got past the defenders. In fact, when he took a drive early in the tackle count, he often failed even to make the gain line. Danny Williams had far more evasion skills, and would often beat the first tackler when surrounded by defenders. I think some of the tries he's scored for us are tries that Jodie wouldn't have got for that very reason.
There. Nothing to get upset about was it?

| In all fairness Jodie scored plenty of tries where he shown an abundance of evasion. The stand out one for me was the one that wasn't even given vs Widnes last season at Magic Weekend. That should have been one of the best tries of the Super League era.

Bradford away a couple of years ago too. The thing is, though, he started in open field with no defenders near him, so was able to get up to speed. Then he was able to use his pace to get around the defenders coming across. If he'd received the ball in traffic, I suspect he'd have just fallen at the first tackle.

Ahh yes, I remember that, 2012 when you right royally dicked us at home. Broughton skipped past everyone from his own in-goal line for that try.
