| Could someone please explain where this supposed improvement since Harris took over is? In fact since veivers, the game plan is no different. Poor, no idea with the ball, no heart when were up against it, no leaders. He's had 8 games now, should be seeing something at least.
If Bradford get any points back I really do worry, this is relegation form without a doubt

| For me the biggest disappointment so far this season was the fact that we had Wigan pinned in their half for 20 mins in the first half and couldn't score. No sign of Rangi working his magic at all. How many tries disallowed due to crossing - really wondering what they do all week?
I almost preferred it when we had nothing and people just felt sorry for us.
"What a waste of money" is exactly right, and MK adds fuel by making stupid predictions on twitter. I'm gutted as I saw no class at all tonight from Salford. In the second half The Wigan kids made us look shocking, fair play to them, and the half time team talk that worked a treat.
Very, very poor Salford.

I've got to say, "I really don't think the team is playing that badly". However, there really is something missing from performances so far, and I think you've hit the nail on the head to certain degree. The signing of 14 new players stripped the club of its soul, to certain degree, but who else could we have kept from last seasons squad? For me there was only Godwin, Jewitt and Broughton, and perhaps we should have had more faith in Gaz Owen and Mark Sneyd. Maybe, if Noble had shown a little more pride than Puletua and Meli would give us a little more impetus on the pitch. Godwin always played like he wanted, never taking a backward step, Owen would put his body on the line and we are we in no way better for replacing Broughton with Meli.
I definitely agree about the conditioning, it's getting slightly better, but still looks terrible and is par of the reason Wiliams has lost so much of his pace.

| We are majorly lacking in confidence at the moment, in that first 20 minutes, we should have come away with at least 3 tries and possibly a couple of conversions. However, if you watched carefully, we were forcing the pass and trying to score off every play which ended up with slightly mis-timed moves (obstruction), passes either too short, too forceful, not going to hand or being thrown to the floor, plus Hock didn't need to do the double movement, we still had tackles in the bank and them on the rack. We also turn the ball over far too cheaply and invariably early in the tackle count thereby robbing us of opportunities to put sustained pressure on the opposition, I don't think we actually forced a drop out tonight, the ones they conceded were from their mistakes and we still didn't make them pay for it. All of this gives the opposition more confidence around being able to defend against us plus it means that we are spending way more time without the ball and that knackers you out and explains why in the second half we couldn't live with their pace on the flanks.
I know it sounds crazy but they all need to be much calmer in attack, at the moment we look like we're running round like headless chickens.

| I think there was improvement. It looks to me as if Harris has stripped it right back and started to build from the basics. Some of the players have bought into it and it showed tonight but others seem to have almost given up. I thought Eden, Sau, Chase, Smith, Hock, Hanson, Tompkins and Lee all looked 100% committed. The defence looked better organised and Harris is gradually putting more set plays in place. Maybe a lack of stamina is telling but they were playing into the wind in the second half.

Despite being exhausted and frustrated by watching the SRD players surrender possession far too often on the first or second tackle,I can only suggest we looked more organized defensively despite having 2 loan players in key positions.
In a results driven business the results ( v.Wigan ) have been as follows :-
Jan 2013 - Home Friendly - Dr K in attendance - Lost 16-34
Feb 2013 - Home Super League - Dr K in attendance - Lost 0-42
3rd May 2013 - Away Super League - Brian Noble head coach - Lost 46-6
Only losing by 21 points is an improvement.
No.I don't feel any better either.

I just think that your forwards don't look to have that extra 10 percent that was needed tonight, a backlash in my eyes from the slack approach from noble. And new players won't buy in to a culture easy especially when there is so many of them but you have true leaders like Morley and Hansen and funnily enough both from Salford. Hand on heart think a lot of you should just be patient and give Harris till the same time next year and i believe you will be in a lot better place.

| I honestly think our pack has improved massively and are now competing for the majority of games.
Outside backs we don't come close to competing with anyone in unfortunately though.
We have nobody with pace to support any breaks we make or catch any opposition players that break our line.
Tasi was the closest to catching one of the players on a wigan break tonight, he's a prop forward for ***** sake, where were our backs?!

| It's been said many times, but I don't think MK gobbing off helps the team. It just adds extra pressure on them to perform and that'll only lead to lack of composure and confidence. He needs to shut his trap and let the team do the talking.

| I agree about MK, he puts a pressure on the team every game. For me over Easter they should have targetted the Hudds game and rolled over at Leeds, instead they had a go at both and won neither, this then has a knock on effect in future fixtures.
Salford are trying to do it in every game, but teams around the 8ths spot don't seem to be able to, they are better off picking their games.

| I'm suprised at the negativity being shown after last night's game. For once, I thought there were genuine signs of improvement.
Clearly a lot of work still needs to be done, but to keep Wigan under the cosh for 40 minutes was good to see despite failing to get any points on the board in the first half.
Bearing in mind, this Wigan team, minus Green, beat Leeds last weekend.
One negative point from me though... I'm confused at the lack of creativity/flair in the final 3rd of the pitch. With the likes of Smith and Chase on the pitch you wouldn't think that this would be a huge problem, but it clearly is.
Onwards and upwards. Keep the faith!

Can anyone see an improvement in our attack since bringing in an attacking coach who people on here rave about? I'm happy for us to give Longy a go in some capacity to help him rebuild his career, but I'm not sure he's the guru he's made out to be on this front.

Trouble is, a coach can teach them and tell them how to perform certain moves. Practice them, refine them. But he has no control over major malfunctions during a game. It's up to the players to be better organised and execute with more professionalism than they are doing.

| We spent large periods of the first half camped in Wigan territory without troubling the scoreboard, before conceding 25 points in the last 41 minutes of the game. If this is seen as improvement then God help us.

I'm talking about small steps in the right direction, not strides. I thought defensively we were better, although that's not to say we were particularly good.
Personally, I think half the battle at the moment is psychological. That's seven games without a win for a team that had high expectations at the start of the season, with some fans having delusions of Grandeur.
Confidence is a key attribute which is lacking in this squad at the moment, and if we can do our best to encourage and support the players, we have half a chance of getting a few more wins under our belt.

| I've got to say, I think one of your biggest reasons for not troubling the score board was Chase. I honestly believe he is extremely overrated. He can do amazing things with the ball in hand, and his work for the Salford try was excellent, but that is no good if the rest of the match he is awful, throwing bad passes and trying to do these tricks and skills that only come off once or twice a match.
I really want you guys to succeed, because I like seeing more good teams in the league, and I do believe you will get there.
If you look at sport, any team that invests big money usually takes a year or two to click.
I do believe that you would benefit greatly from getting Sneyd back if at all possible.

I've had the same thoughts myself recently.
Chase is undeniably world-class when he's having a good one. Trouble is, he doesn't have that many, at least not in a Salford shirt yet. I'm not sure I'd be happy if I was MK. I don't think he's getting enough bang for his buck at the moment.

| I left the game last night majorly disappointed, yet again. Before the game I was one of a few who thought we would trouble Wigan and in all fairness we should have done. I felt Harris had the tactics spot on, our kicking game started better than it has been all season, we were making yards and then when it came to having the ball in their final third we panicked, lost confidence and the unforced errors all came back. With the amount of ball we had in the first 25 minutes, we should have registered points. I cant work out what the problem is, but one thing is for certain we seem to be forcing it too often when a better option would be to either take the tackle on their line, or put a grubber in and force a repeat set. We seem incapable of building any genuine pressure and rush our attacks.
General defence I saw improvements, we were forcing them back, turning them over and working hard. However defending our line was dreadful yet again. Everytime Widnes got in our 10 they scored got over the white wash last week and Wigan did the same.
Forwards were fantastic again, let down by the backs again. Disappointing to see us picked up injuries to both our centres – where does this leave us? This season just keeps going from bad to worse.
