| Right then, 2 wins from 2 as most people would have probably predicted before the season started. Huge game on Thursday v Saints and a chance to really prove our credentials. I don't fancy us to win but as long we compete for a large part of the game and have enhanced our reputation by the end then I'll be happy. If we turn them over I can see a few people struggling to make it in to work on Friday. So far there has been some really impressive individual displays but as expected I don't think the team has fully gelled yet and I see this as the sort of match where we could get found out in that respect.
Does anyone know if Chase/Sau will be fit? Barring that I'm guessing all the other players missing yesterday were rested and will be fine for Thursday?
On the crowd front, last year we had a pitiful 3,248 for this fixture so I'd take 6,500 which would be a great effort considering it's on Sky on a Thursday night. Topping the Wakey crowd would be difficult even with big numbers from Saints. The Wakey match had been pushed for months beforehand and will no doubt have included a few one game wonders.
What are people's predictions?
C'mon Salford!

| Rangi will 100% play, I don't think Junior will make it though. I would expect to see Morley, Puletua and Dixon to be recalled too.
I can't wait for this one just to see where we stand against the team I think will go on to win the whole thing come the end of the season. I hope we cut out the stupid tries we've conceded vs Wakefield (sloppy interception) and London (one-on-one steal) as we'll struggle make the points up against better teams. Our pack needs to step it up another notce, I think they've been superb so far but Saints are different proposition. Gareth Hock also needs to keep his cool, we knew what we were getting but I just hope he let's his outstanding talent make the headlines, it will be an emotional game for him (being a Wigan lad an all).
After the Wakefield game I'm hoping for another 7k crowd, Saints will bring double what Wakefield did which should compensate for those floating Salford fans that choose to stay at home and watch on Sky.
Prediction; Saints by 10 with Salford putting in a strong performance but just coming up short.

| I think Theo deserves to keep a place in the squad, he was superb yesterday and needs a bench spot at least.

| We've had two very poor starts to matches this season and our left edge look vulnerable on a shift play.
We blew hull away for 20mins and won the match. The other 60mins were turd. I think you have a very good chance on thurs

| I expect a close game but I can't see us getting the 2 point's, hopefully everyone will be back fit. I wouldn't play Williams if Sau is still out, I'd have Gleeson / Walton centre with Meli / Johnson wing. Saint's 24 Salford 14 6k

Unless I'm mistaken you can buy at the ticket office on the day, just need to get there a little earlier?

| Yes you can turn up and pay BUT you have to queue at the ticket office & not the turnstile. What is inconvenient about paying online, printing your ticket & walking through the turnstile. It is 2014!

Probably more the printer thing to be honest, virtually everyone has internet access, not nearly as many have a printer.

Or you can just buy them from Saints and have them posted out. It isn't difficult, just people finding excuses not to go.

And exactly how many will that deter?
Do not other grounds operate the same system - Widnes?
You can pay on the day, just not at the turnstile - what's your problem?

| You wonder if the fact that Howarth was at Saints last year might get him a place on the bench! but then you see how complimentary Noble was about theo and that leads you to think he might get the nod.
Can't see much more than 5000 this Thursday with it being a school night and on SKY, my heart tells me a win but head says we might have improved but not quite that much just yet, keep saying it but for me anyone who finishes above Saints will I'm sure win the league.

Hey, I'm with you completely! Just guessing at plausible excuses.
Complaining about tickets when you can buy and print online, or pick up from either club is a joke tbh. Same with insisting on parking in the stadium car park and then complaining it takes an hour to get away, unless you have a disability or something similiar, just walk a 5 minute walk and your problems are solved.
People will come up with excuses to get out of anything if they wish to.

I'd use that as a reason to not play him in all honesty. Saints will also know of Howarth's weaknesses and god help us if he plays because I'd fully expect them to exploit him.
We already have Meli & Puletua (if fit) that know a hell of a lot more about Saints than Howarth will & are better players in their respective positions.
I'm excited for this game on the off chance we win, it would really send a message out IMO. I think it's a big step up from our first two performances, and although I'm sure the boys will be up FOR it, I'm not sure they'll be up TO it just yet. I sincerely hope I'm proven wrong though, we've certainly got enough players that can produce a bit of magic, just hope it comes on Thursday!

| Be a big test Thursday 1st of many to see how far we can go
The reason Howath is above Theo in the pecking order is because in the cold light of day he is more versatile
Can play 6,7, 9, 12, 13
Theo can play 6, 7, 9
Be interesting to see who Nobly goes with

Full agree. I've been to Salford twice and never had a problem with either tickets or parking. I can't stand people moaning for the sake of it. Just get your tickets, park up and enjoy the game.

| Should be a big game - a lot of your new boys will fancy a big game against Saints (particularly Meli, TP, Hansen, Hock, Morley, Howarth - all for a variety of different reasons).
If we play like we did early doors against Hull we'll lose. If we play like we did for parts of the second half we could win comfortably.
Tough one to call - I'd go for a narrow Saints win.

| I know all Salford fans now think they are going to win the league on the basis of 2 lucky wins against s*** teams but you have a true test on Thursday against one of the Big Boys.
I don't rate your current line up. It could be a Cricket score.

I don't think any salford fan on here has said we're going to win. We just want to watch a close match which if we have a full squad we are capable and MAYBE MAYBE pull of a shock. Obviously I want salford to win but I think saints will win by 6
