Just got home and looked up the origins o the CCR cover used and found out it's from an outfit called Mourning Ritual and is getting some pretty heavy play over in the States as it is being used for the re start after the mid season break of Walking Dead.

If you go on a popular video sharing site you can hear the whole thing.

Point being a brilliant bit of moody music to be played just before the players come onto the pitch, especially in the early games where the sky will be dark and add to the drama of the song.

I can't believe I'm suggesting this, but especially for evening Sky games they could do something similar to what City did with Blue Moon. A minute or so before the players come our, floodlights go off (emergency lighting only left on) Bad Moon Rising starts to play (as the launch video) with lights of red splashed around the stadium.

Might add to the "hell" image and atmosphere they're trying to create.

I didn't know that was something City did but I had a similar idea.

Would be better if we had a big screen so you could maybe flash the images of the 17 on it rapid fire too add to the lighting aspect of it.

I thought the cover was excellent too.

CCR is a classic but I agree Butcher a brilliant crack at it.

Let's hope someone at the club sticks with it.

On a seperate note, what do people think of the new mascot? It looks a bit like Koukash!

Think that's what they were kind of aiming for, pretty tongue in cheek.
Well done the doc and team again, think it's by far the best mascot we've had.
Just think when we play Saints and Sky won't give him any air time for obvious reasons and Dr Devil is prancing up and down the touch line in full view of the cameras master stroke.

I always remember asking Dave Tarry why we didn't have a red devil for our mascot, he told me it would be impossible to have a red devil that wouldn't scare the little kids. Well Erm didn't see any scared kids yesterday with Dr Devil?
