I said at the end of last season he was one player I would have kept on, sure he's not a golden boot winner but he's a grafter and I'm willing to bet he'll be fitter over the duration of the season than Shannon Mc is.

How did he get on last season for you guys? Did he play any back-row or just prop? I liked him during the Millward era, not the most talented player in the world but a damn sight better than Wilkes, Jonkers and Hill, who all came much more highly rated around the same time

He was a solid performer last season. he played much better than the year before when he never seemed to run his weight.

I would have kept him on as a squad player. He improved massively under Noble and put in some impressive performances for us. I'm sure he'll raise his game that little bit more playing for Wigan.

Yup, signed by Millward (The only one that was signed by him that actually played well) and then loaned out when Noble arrived to fit Fielden under the cap.

People saying they would have kept him , give over . There was a reason we finished bottom last season. Without being too personal , his go forward isn't there, he often does that daft shimmy with his feet before contact, losing his pace and power. Also he loses concentration often, silly penalties, knocks on. The same people sayin they'd kept James, will be the same people on twitter saying we should of offered Godwin another year, Wild another year, Gibson another year. We'll if we kept doing that, we be the same standard we been at for a long time. Whilst contradicting myself, one forward I would of kept would of been Jewitt, unfortunately injuries and late suspensions, meant he couldn't show Noble his qualities. Good luck to James, maybe Wigan's set up can get the little but extra out of him, bit surprised given Wane's stance on his youth policy though.
