You would hope Wilkinson would still be keen to be involved in the club and assist where he can, do we know if Wilkinson Star are involved in sponsorship with the club now? I know the club are still looking for player sponsors, would be good to see Wilky help out where needed.

I think he's done his bit for us,financially !

He's more than done his bit, of that there's no question. But it seems odd not to have a wealthy local businessman who loves the club and sport not involved in any way shape or form. I'm sure £6k per season to sponsor a player won't break the Wilkinson Star bank either.

Wonder if the meeting with the Dr had anything to do with Steve Simms, allegedly suing the club for non payment . Surely Simms was the old regime, why should the Dr have to pay? No one in there right mind would take a club on with him being involved.

IF this is true. I hope Steve Simms has got a very good lawyer. Many of his signings were criminal!

We can all remember the bad ones but I'd love to see the very long list of players that he signed.
I suspect there were some excellent signings in there,maybe it's the law of averages but I'd love to see that list,if it exists.

I wont post what Steve Simms wage was whilst he was with us, but he was paid higher than any other player we had during his tenure at the club and that includes Luke Patten.

Frightening. You are right that Wilky was daft enough to pay him, I never liked the man but you cannot blame him for taking the money.

Like Simms or not he's only doing what any of us would do if we didn't get paid the wages we'd earned. You would think that if the pay is from when the old regime was in charge they would be liable? Can only think if it was since the Doc has taken over it is a claim for redundancy pay.
