Koukash has just confirmed Mozza will replace Gleeson as captain. He's also named horses "Gleese The Devil" and "Captain Morley".

Think its a good choice, he's a local lad come good returning home definatley will inspire the squad with his presence / attitude / experience better than Wild / Gleeson did.
Just need him to stay fit reaily.

My only concern is how much game time he'll give us next season. Hopefully he plays more than he missed, it'll be a proud year for him though.

Gleeson I'd imagine. I'm under no illusions that this is just to please the fans and that our actual captain will still be Martin.

Gleeson will be captain when Moz isn't on the field, that is all. Don't be under the illusion Morley is just a figure head. He will 100 per cent be the captain & be the vocal one in the dressing room & on the field when he's there. Ask the Wire fans their thoughts on him as captain. He's by far the most experienced player in SL & has GF wins both sides of the world, why wouldn't he be captain??

I'm not questioning his credentials as a captain, I'm sure he's an incredible leader. All I'm saying is that I think his captain role will be more of a club captain one than team captain. Gleason will be on the pitch for the full 80, most if not all games whereas moz will probably do 30-40 mins every 2 out of 3 games. I'm not disrespecting the man because I know he'll give 100% when he's on the pitch, I'm just being a realist and not getting caught up in the fairytale.

A Great figure head, but he isnt the vocal kind of Captain.. when instructions are needed on the pitch Mike Monas and Briers are there for that. Moz rarely gets a team "gee up" going

but to walk out onto the pitch behind Morley will lift plenty of your guys even if he then turns round and goes back to the bench.

even if he doesnt rip up trees himself... other players must surely get a boost from being captained by him..... I have no doubt it spurred Chris Hill on...
