Went down to the beer festival at the stadium last night. Really well organised event, but a bit of a disappointing turnout (though that meant every beer was available). If anyone likes their ale or cider I fully recommend going down today or tomorrow.
The set up is the fans bar has all the ales and ciders, then there's seating outside, catering van, ice cream and a stage with live music. Then there's a wine bar and Salford merchandise stall on the west stand concourse.
It's a fiver in, which includes a glass, programme and your first half. Drinks seemed to range from 1.20 to 1.60 a half, and the service was swift as there were loads of staff (and they weren't the Azure lot).
There's been plenty of updates from the club but it needs more marketing to the wider audience. I've not seen it mentioned in the local CAMRA monthly magazine Opening Times. Beer festivals will attract people from far from wide.
Been down there today, quite a few in attendance. The cider at 7.3 per cent was excellent, had a real good time. If you have not been, get down there tomorrow.
Went yesterday it was outstanding needs better promotional stuff to get non salford fsns involved great day tho get down today if you can you wont be disappointed
