| Seem in turmoil currently with fans suicidal (check their forum and match comments v South Sydney today). The key man there is Benji Marshall and coach `Harry` Potter doesnt seem to rate him! Left him on the bench today. Food for thought maybe but he would tear up SL and doesnt carry the Chase baggage.

Another one who would swallow up almost our whole salary cap!
I remember going to ANZ Stadium about 5 years ago to watch Wests play Parra and some of their fans, before the game had even started, were shouting things like, "F*** off over to England, Benji" which I thought was a bit harsh!

| I think Potter does rate him but he will put the club and the team first.
Marshall is just about to sign a big contract but there are other critics airing their views

| So thats about £600k a season for Mr & Mrs Marshall and their family?
Go Doctor Go. Expect `Benji Marshalls Here` to be running in the Maiden at Chester next May.

| There's no way that such a player would consider a move to England (except perhaps to one of the big four). The strength of the Aussie dollar and the interest from so many Aussie teams.
These posts are in danger of what happens when a child in a sweet shop is refused all his/her choices: tantrums.
We have posts linking us to impossible dreams and to ex-players who are very happy where they are.
A good example is Ratchford whose agent has said he is happy at Warrington and not considering any move back. however many fans are now sure that he will return: he has not indicated this. Result: several fans will turn on him as being a traitor simply from their expectations and perceptions.
The same will come from our rebuilding: if we think we will be getting both squads from the Anzac test, we will be disappointed and begin complaining we have not got the sweets from every jar.
I'm just glad I have a club to support in mid 2013. Yes, I am ambitious for the club, but the doctor's money is his and I will only complain if he leads us astray.

| OK Benji would break the bank, so if he signs a new 4 yr deal at tigers , it says the youngsters would have to move on,
I dont know any thing about curtis sironen or luke brooks, but if these 2 youngsters are the big deal down under, lets at least have a look at them, and sign one of them at least. they would not at least break the bank, or the sal cap.

| I'd be just as happy with the club looking for good signings from SL and maybe looking at fringe NRL players with the talent but maybe not the chances over there that SL offers them.
I'm sure with the inks we have now down under that we could unearth a couple of gems from the Toyota comp and again using the same rational signing our own youngsters up were not splashing huge amounts of the salary cap on imports.

| I have been lucky to visit Australia a number of times and as Wests are the team I have always followed down there ( from West Magpies days)I have always tried to see them when I can.
Benjii is a great talent and exciting to watch and of course I would like to see him at Salford but it is just a dream.
He lives in a very expensive apartment in Cabarita ( Cabarita- breakfast point, google it if you are interested) enjoys the sun and surf, has a great life in Sydney and is paid a fortune.
Do you think he would give all that up to come to sunny Salford by the Irwell ?
