| last week went for my ticket on the saturday, the nextday went to the game Hull KR fans in the seats.
this got tickets, nextday could have got them for half the price.
so comming from Cadishead welcomed the news about the bus.
turned up at 6-20 (10 mins before time) at the Lion
along a group of other fans, at 7p.m. give up and got the 100.
after the match was told by the driver he followed his orders and only went to the Ship.
and did not know about the two pick up points, so had no one it.
watched the game and just like the club bus the team did not turn up.
there are times when i ask why do to i follow and waste my money.
now in this new age things should be on the way up. but there are just the same

| Give it a chance! Give them longer than a month to turn around a club that has been broken from top to bottom. It was rubbish on the pitch but we are making strides off it & soon enough we will make huge strides on it I'm 100 per cent convinced!

| I thought Shaun McRae had returned to `coach` the team the way they played tonight. PV had better sharpen the sword pretty quickly. 5/6 of the team candidates for Oldham on that show.

| On the pitch it was deja vu from August,in London, when they scored 34 second half points.
They must have the hex over us.
It was awful - but with or without any hex there was new combinations all over the park;except the 2nd row and to take any positives out of it we have now not conceded 40 points in either of the last 2 games.
Don't think I ain't hurtin'!
See where we are when we play down London in June.
Congratulations to the Broncos.Played to a plan, were consistent, and as comprehensive a victory as they are likely to have.

| We were looking at extinction a few weeks ago. Now we've been taken over some of you c*nts think we'll be successful instantly and see fit to boo and abuse the team despite all the troubles we've faced. Talk about impatient and expecting instant success.
It was never going to be instant. It was never going to be easy. Quit moaning, quit booing the team and hurling abuse inside the ground and get behind your team and club. Success has been a long time in coming to Salford and when the good doctor delivers nights like tonight will make the whole experience better. So stop being bells and get behind the shirts.
I see the Salford Reds arising. F*ck anyone else.

| Very disappointing result but full credit to London I thought they were very good value for the big margin victory and were much smarter with the ball. I also thought they defended like their lives depended on it and showed just how much more they wanted to win this game.

| With the field position we had, we should have scored more, but we were clueless inside their 20. They were the better team overall, but for me the margin of victory wasn't a totally accurate reflection of the game.
Hardly surprising with one winger who can't get to the game, another who goes off injured and yet another different half back pairing. Thought Foran's kicking game looked pretty good though.
Wonder who the mystery full back expected to be announced tomorrow is...

| So GT we are not allowed to criticise our team in any way? Don't talk wet. The good Doctor I am sure will not tolerate performances like that. I dont boo or abuse I just want players to give 100% & play for the shirt too.
We all know it will take time but players shouldnt believe that they are above criticism for displays like tonights.

Do you know what, this above statement x 100. I think most rational Solly fans realise how far we behind the 8 ball coming into this season we are. We've got players coming in all the time, players playing out of position and not fully fit but all said and done, that performance wasn't good enough tonight and as fans of the club were allowed to say so. I'll never condone booing and and needless slagging of players but at the same time, we should never accept mediocrity, no matter who is playing for us.
full credit to London tonight, they were simply brilliant in every department but we did not really challenge them, at any point. Our attack was timid and defence even worse. It wasn't good enough and were allowed to say so. It's OK, we know things will get better, I can't wait, I'm impatient but balls to it, like Chico said on Twitter, the fact that were wedged kind of makes this e display tonight OK, we know there's much much more to come. I'm quite drunk and lost my train of thought so I'll leave it at that for now!!!!

I'd take Gibbo back at this stage
I was seriously worried at one point last night that a plane was going to land onm the pitch with the amount of hand & arm waiving Murphy was doing - surely as a vocal full back your meant to lead by example and not cack yourself when a high ball goes up.
For me last night it was a tactical shambles, Forans kicking game looked excellent, Syned looked to have grown in confidence after last weekend, our best forward was Martin Gleeson (who must have led the hit up stats) and well a nice way to put it is Mauro will add some weight to the pack.
Whether it was because Foran was so new I don't know but the set plays last night were akin to what you see on school playing fields week in week out and I don't think I've seen a Salford team in the last few years big it's forwards onto the ball at a more pedestrian pace.
I hope we bring back Theo from Oldham and then have him Sneyd and Foran train together with Longy on the plays, I hope this new full back materialises or we at least play Evalds/Holmes there instead, I hope that Mauro isn't given Feka's gold Greggs loyalty card and for Christ's sake can't we get Broughton a place to live in Manchester? - sorry but the entire team should spend all day together and he should have been in the area overnight Thursday rather than stuck behind the excellent new programs.

| There's criticism and there's out and out bellendery from people who seem to think we're instantly better than we ever have been after the takeover.
We looked knackered after last week. We looked like we were struggling to gel with new arrivals and after changes to the squad. It didn't warrant the reaction of some in the stands last night.

| Spot on GT - over the years I've sat through far worse than last night, anyone remember 96 points at Bradford? (still a superleague record that we hold!) but I never have and never will boo the team - does anyone think that players go out intending to fail?
Bright spots last night - Seeing Dr K and the management team meeting people, can you imagine the previous incumbents doing that?, Red Square magazine - massive improvement on the previous rag.
The less said about the game the better.
BUT I know things are going to improve - keep the faith.

| Agree with both of you. I made comment on the London board that it would be a hard ask of Foran to slip into a pivotal role after one training session, and so it transpired. It's all very well bringing players in, but they will need time. Couple it with the fact that you have short term loan players coming and going doesn't help to knit together a team of lads. I said before that we'll probably start to gel the second half of the season and I'll stand by that.
Feel a bit sorry for the backroom staff who have worked hard to promote the two for one offer, the new programme, and the Dr keeping our name in the papers. Any inquisitive new fans or old returning ones will be far from impressed with the performance of the team and the reaction of some of our 'fans'.
No excuse to boo players. It does no good except alienate players and fans. It sends out all the wrong signals.

| I thought last night was a massive reality check which showed how far off the pace we are. After the Hull KR game it was a massive disappointment.
London made the most of our inability to deal with kicks, tackled very well and looked organised. They were far from brilliant, which makes the result even more worrying. I thought our forwards stood up to the London pack, but out wide we were very poor. We lacked pace, ideas and structures; though there are reasons for this the performance was not good enough for me. Only Sneyd looked up to speed outside the pack.
I will be hoping to see a much better performance at Wakefield next week. The two newcomers will be over their jet -lag and we should have been able to sort out our moves, but the team owes us a performance!
Onwards and upwards!

GT my little red headed buddy firstly it's nice to see you have dropped the sewar language from last night, very distasteful.
You are my friend 100% correct in your comments.
How many of those who berated your team last night have the guts to enter a field of play...probability none.
Rome wasn't built in a day and no doubt when the venerable Dr actually splashes the cash and the coaching staff get a settled team results will improve.

| A key thing I saw from last night was that, for me, not only should Godwin play far more minutes but he should also be made captain! He was the only one I saw with any enthusiasm, the only one rushing to form scrums, dishing out b*llockings and trying to lift the team. Also, how Howarth & Murphy get in in front of Owen & Evalds god only knows. We will turn it around sooner rather than later & I think last weeks win masked where we are in real terms but say it loudly SALFORD REDS ARISING!!!

| The Club has to walk a fine line.
It has to hype everything to garner interest. Be that signings, potential signings, Club offers, Big changes etc Then when the event happens it turns into a damp squib due to poor performance. It seems a certain section of our fans fall for the hype time after time not realising that the Club are required to offer their propaganda to attract more money into the Club.
Things will improve on the pitch and success will come when it happens. Let's forget the awful performance and look forward instead of backwards.

| These are exciting times and nobody forgets just how close to the brink we were and how promising the future looks. Some of the fans were way out of order.
Having said all that, the worrying thing is that if you accept the players put in maximum effort,we looked so poor in every department.
If Forans job is to guide us round the pitch then Sneyd,as good as he was last week, can't be his partner. His style is not sufficiently structured or readable.
Felt sorry for Murphy, but only shortage of numbers keep him in the team.
Wilds been a good player but only the captaincy is keeping him in the team now and the second rowers are too similar.
So,I'd change the back three by playing 3 props to beef up the back and drop Wild, play Theo instead of Sneyd and make a change at full back.
I'm not sure whether Sneyd couldn't play there.
I expect to get hammered for my comments on Sneyd but I'd put money on him not being in the halves beyond the next 2 or 3 games at most

| On last nights evidence I actually agree on Sneyd & Foran, they were in all the same positions & didn't play as a pair but I thought Sneyd was the better of them last night as I'd expect given Foran had jet lag & trained for 30mins with the team. Sneyd was the only one who looked like creating a break, another plus I felt Gleeson had a good game considering he was either without a winger or was the winger.

| I have learnt over the years to know after each success there is always likely to be a big fall, however I was concerned last night by the basic errors we committed, which had nothing to do with London playing well but more to do with our application. I was also concerned at super league level surely the playing staff would arrive mid day & not attempt to be at the club hours before kick off. Maybe it is my lack of understanding but I would have thought match day at any professional level the day was all about preparation.
