My money would be on him going to Widnes, although you never know. Long, Gleeson and Hock? Talent and turmoil spring to mind. To be honest, if the takeover goes through, a marquee signing may be the thing needed to kickstart the season. Personally, one step at a time, all I'm waiting for is the official confirmation of Dr Fixit as new owner before I start getting all juiced-up over potential signings.

is Rangi Chase, really the sort of player SCR need? I highly doubt it, it's going to be a long season and we need grafters. Chase on his day is sublime no-one is denying that but no what we need for now. We should be concentrating on the pack as we have a very raw squad and these youngsters will need protecting. If Hock come (although I highly doubt he will) This is the sort of nasty player we need, willing to make hard yards as well as bully opposition, not to mention his off loading ability. People are already getting ahead of themselves before a deal is struck. What will be will be, as long as Wilky and co leave the club will be able to open their lungs again after being suffocated for all these years.

You'd have the same problem with Hock that the Pies have - getting him to stay cool enough to play 80 minutes without a red card.

Hock , still sulking over failed move to OZ , has not trained with the squad yet, hence him being touted for a move, great player but also a liability
