Well whatever the news, be it good or bad, im hoping it gives us a clear direction as a club. Hopefully we can then plan our 2013 campaign with a united front and a thoughtful strategy to try and avoid any more miserable seasons like the last one

According to a RFL source, deal completed. We shall see, I like most Salford fans will only believe it when I see/hear it confirmed!!

Obviously the key thing is that we still have a club to watch and lets hope we have news on that today.
The only thing that strikes me though is that the kind of proposed signings we are being linked with don't really smack of anything other than deja vu.New investment seems to be along recent lines which in view of the franchise renewal doesn't bode well.Lets hope we get some jam on top of those mentioned.
Obviously any signing under current circumstances is welcome and don't want to put a dampener on things just thinking beyond today.

The club have said on Facebook that no announcement will be made today. It's just press speculation as usual.

I think that any investment agreed today and announced in the near future will be too late for "significant" signings for the 2013 season. Let us hope that we can have enough money next season to form firm foundations for real development in 2014 and beyond.

Spotted a BBC Manchester outside broadcast car heading towards the stadium this morning so had kind of hoped for something to happen today.

Then again I shouldn't have been stupid enough to expect the MEN to get anything like correct information.

Patience wearing thinner by the day I'm affraid.

What would be good is if our new owners have been sneeky and negotiated contracts with our new signings before they purchased the club.....

Compare us to other clubs. Workington Town have announced numerous new signings for next season including Ewen Dowes returning from oz, unveiled their new kit and announced their club shop is stocked up aswell as a market stall in town on Saturdays in the lead up to christmas. 2013 season tickets are on sale too.

We are never the most organised at the best of times but this is as bad as it gets, or at least I hope it is

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the article state there was going to be talks on Tuesday? Not an announcement.

Let us hope JW didn't forget to turn up for the meeting.

I think there is an unamed party involved in this.Peel and the council have a vested interest in terms of having a tenant in the stadium but there is nothing for them to gain if they are paying themselves.The only way i can see them being involved would be short term to usher in other people

Ok ok I have been ousted, I can't deny I have been "gloating" at Salfords current predicament.Your investiagtive work is excellent in finding my verse, I applaud your work there.
For what it is worth the other club was Wigan and yes I have a detest of them for their decision to vote also, trouble is it's difficult to subject them to "gloating" since they have done remarkably well for quite some time.
I will however be man enough to offer your club an apology for my dalliance in the art of gloating at their expense and I do hope they end the current turmoil which a once great club now finds itself in.
Incidentally "my bull" is usually factual as of course anything else means I could be held up for libel and well non of us would like that GT would we.

Why dwell on something from decades ago? I thought some bridges had been built with Salford taking you in from the cold and giving you a bed when you was homeless.

In fairness that season at the willows was a very memorable one and yes credit to Salford for the use of the ground...we wasn't homeless by the way we could have stayed at Sedgley Park, but much as you are finding with Sale these Union clubs don't have a lot of time for Rugby league. I was glad we took the option of the Willows and was quite sad when they started to demolish it since it was a real Rugby League ground unlike many of the new stadia.

Forgive me if I take all that with a pinch of salt. There's be no apology if your gloating hadn't been noticed.
