just heard that there will be a beer tent outside the stadium sunday , anybody know if this is true , also where is the closest watering hole to the stadium will be my 1st visit to the ground

Really, so you missed that outstanding game a couple of weeks ago? Never mind eh, at least you won't get stuffed on Sunday the way Hudds have been playing recently. Sorry, can't help you on the beer tent thingymajig but we do have a fans bar (which looks like a beer tent) when we play.

Beer tent near the ground, then hopefully you will bore off and not spend too long in the pubs of Peel Green!!!

I will be in the beer tent pre match. Not drinking any ale though, as my dad & uncle have carefully maneuvered me into driving to the match .........

I for one hope it's still there. Despite it being just a tent it has managed to generate a half desent atmosphere pre match the last 2 home games. It gives all Reds fans the chance to have a chat and a beer together before we go into the ground where we are then separated into the different stands and unable to have a place to mingle with a beer like we did in the club house at the Willows.

[iIt's a good idea this beer tent but next season when we will have a fans bar inside the stadium it will be much better..

Is that actually happening though? I thought like most things on this site lately it was just a rumour.

According to the stadium manager on facebook we'll have a fans bar in the stadium on Friday.

Fans bar is in the west stand (next to the ticket office) tomorrow. Open from 5.30pm.

is that from inside the ground or outside the ground to get into it?

From the clubs facebook page:

The fans bar moves inside tomorrow and will be set up in the space to the right of the ticket office on the ground floor of the West Stand. It opens from 5.30pm to 8pm and after the game until 11pm. Entrance is at the South Stand end of the stadium.

I will be in there in approx 4 hours time.

Tried the fan's bar this evening, and although I think it's a great idea and everything, it just seemed a bit....I dunno really how to describe - I think I just miss the Willows too much!
