I would drop Holdsworth and put Veivers in the team for his goal kicking. Then you could give Moon a go at 6 or have a Smith/Sneyd partnership.

Good shout, Sneyd is also a very handy goal kicker.

Well if he is ready, it might be worth a go. But I always remember what Karl Harrison said about blooding the kids - he was more reluctant to do it against lower league opposition. His reasoning was that referees don't offer as much protection and there are some big old ex-pros down there who like to hit hard and illegally at that.

I like the cup as much as the next guy but we all know realisticly that we will get either a super league team in the 5th or 6th round. So while we have the chance we should play some top under 20's showing the respect to whitehaven at the same time.

Spent a couple of years living in the area in the 1990s.
West Cumbria is passionate about rugby league, every housing estate/village has a decent amateur side ( Kells/hensingham/wath brow hornets etc ).I even turned out for Egremont while living threre !
I'd love to see a super league club in the area, but as that's a pipe dream at present, I think the best thing is for us to pick a pretty well full strength side, thus giving Whitehaven some respect and hopefully at the same time entertaining the whole crowd with some of that expansive RL we have played at times this year !
