| But we were absolutely clueless in attack when playing wet conditions, we looked scared of letting the ball go, stupid penalties given away, dropped balls, we were awful and what makes it worse is that Hull KR were a bad side We should of eased to a win today! SHOCKING!!!

| Both teams were poor, one of the worst games I've seen. Like watching a McRea Team
Salford were just AWFUL. At this moment don't think I'll go to another game

| To be fair we were awful but I bet the coach & players know that as well, it doesn't need idiots turning screaming abuse at the coach for playing rubbish rugby! We have been superb in attack this season & one really poor performance shouldn't take away from that. It was a terrible game between 2 sides who looked knackered. On a side not where was Sean Long today?

| Ledge he was upstairs which surprised me too.
I saw that guy hurl abuse at the end as well. Absolutely clueless - did he go to Widnes/Bradford? Obviously not but having said that we were beaten by a very poor side!

| We were poor but I'd like to put that down to fatigue. I just don't understand the mentality of some fans, given most of our attacking performances have been some of the best for years, add to that he hasn't brought in any of his own players apart from his son & Howarth plus the fact our squad is one of the smallest in the league and we spend probably the lowest in the whole league what do they expect? We are challenging for 8th spot & personally I feel if we can knock it we will have over achieved. People are entitled to opinions but if they are thinking of not coming again off the back of one performance they aren't welcome or needed!

| On reflection hats off to The Hull K R coach they closed down Smith , Holdsworth and Patton, did his homework on the Ref re Offsides
but I,m Still disillusioned, might wait till 3 year of licence when we buy big again to get the next three year license
We are pretty poor
I have been watching for 57 years maybe I need a breakl

| We snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Somehow our play gave KR the confidence they didn't have at the start of the game.
Not a lack of effort, bur errors and bad decisions.
We should have put points on the board in the first half when we were clearly the better side. Another lesson to learn.
Long more effective on the touch line, Highton with his headphones shouting up to the gantry is silly.
Also, why does Patten forget what position he plays when the opposition kick a high ball? He can't have done that in the NRL can he?

| I personally hope that today hasn't done more harm than good as far as crowds for the rest of the season goes.
There was no life in the stands or on the pitch and combined with more bad luck as far as weather and pre match entertainment can't see anyone who took advantage of the brilliant ticket off in the MEN busting a gut to come back to see many more games.
Makes me wonder what the validitity of the Sunday afternoon kick off amounts too as today was the perfect oppertunity for a good turn out and it wasn't anywhere near good enough for me.

| They controlled our playmakers ie patten, holdsworth & smith better than we controlled theirs ie Dobson. We cannot keep giving away penalty after penalty against anyone and expect to win. We are defending against too many sets one after another, no wonder we are tired. We can still make the 8, Wakefield away is very winnable but I feel we should play a few of the 20's & rest a few ie feka for the wakey game.

| The best thing was the amount of families we walked past on our way to the game coming away from the stadium with goody bags and prizes won on the fair.
So we did get some families there. Just not for the rugby.

| Rain was 100% certain. Salford should plan a family fun day wherever there is a drought, it would guarantee rain.
What is it about Salford and their luck??
I try to see the funny side "typical Salford" etc. but these things are so predictable it must really get everyone at the club down.

Unfortunately as the Met office can only predict to any degree of accuracy about 3 hours ahead how do you expect Salford to be able to predict 4 weeks in advance when they started planning for this match. Then again some people will blame the club for the weather.

I don't expect Salford to be able to predict the weather, you mis-understand my point.
We always have the worst luck, snow before 1st game at the stadium and now this. Not a criticism, just an observation!

| Was Owen injured or dropped? Very harsh of dropped as Godwin looked lacking in sharpness.
The ref was dreadful, but our defence for the last two tries was even worse. We should have won that game comfortably but failed to build on any position that we got - let's hope we don't have to play in rain again.

| according to the BBc only 5,000 there today, so playing in the afternoon doesn't work to get the families in if the attendance is anything to go by.

| I thought McRae was back after watching that today.
5 drives and kick and penalties galore.
We got dragged down to HKR's gameplan and the passing game we have seen just went out of the window.
I can not think of any player who deserves praise from that, and how the hell did Patten get MOM

I imagine that your club is disappointed in that attendance especially as that rag of a paper ran the £10 offer. However the Salford club did themselves no favours either, my nephew played for his school during your half time today, he was allowed free entry it cost his Mum £20 to get in and £5.50 to park needless to say as the lad was cold and wet at half time she left and wasn't to impressed so doubt she will be bringing him there anytime soon.Surely it would have done the club no harm to offer the parents of the kids playing free entry and then target them for other games.
I can't get my head around the marketing of clubs and Swinton are no better.

Gospel truth that and in answer to the next quote this wasn't points scoring against salford as I have already stated Swinton are no better at promoting matches.

| Who were the only team to make a line break from their own half yesterday? Who was the only team to score a try by throwing a long pass to the winger? HKR scored three tries, one was a mile offside at the kick and two were barge overs from ten yards out against a tiring defence and yet we were clueless apparently. The game was played in incessant rain with a ball like a piece of soap, of course the lads didn't throw it around like they have at other times.
As for the penalties, are wer the only team not square.....or offside.......or holding down? Dobson should have been binned in the first half for holding down Gleeson after our 4th clean break from our own half (btw he would therefore have been off when he made the kick for their first try). The penalty that breaks the game however is the one for a ball steal when Wellham just dropped it. They scored from that penalty...game over!!!
I am not claiming that we are not guilty but we got pulled 8 times for not square against Wigan.......on good friday I watched Saints get away with it time and again against the same opposition.....why? Because they are one of the big 4 & must not be penalised especially on big games as it spoils the flow of the game doesn't it.
Y we were poor compared to other games this year but a like perspective needed!
Also the crowd, people at the club are not happy about the crowds being published....they are certain there are more in the ground than is being announced. My sister works in the ticket office and is gobsmacked at some of the figures when they come out (particularly the Leeds and Wigan games). Yesterday, there was a very poor following from hill billy land, no more than 700 in my estimation. So if the published figure is correct that means 4300 reds fans on a horrible cold wet bank holiday. The negativity of some fans is more damaging than the performances at times and now is not the time. If we got behind them more instead of slagging them off perhaps we can lift them a bit. We need to pull together.
