Anyone got any tips for pre-match boozing on Saturday? Preferably where a few other rugby fans will be. Current favourites seem to be Barton Aerodrome or in Eccles but would be good to know where others seem to be heading?

We'll be doing a bit of crawl along Liverpool Road (the road that connects Eccles to the stadium) Will end up in the Unicorn as its the closest pub to the ground.

Depends what time your out from, With it being a 2 kick off Liverpool road would be my option starting in the Packet house on Patricroft bridge, then you have the grapes, unicorn & St Mikes. St Mikes is a con club style place which is over the road from the Unicorn both about a 20 minute walk from the ground.

We're leaving at 12 so will be there for half past at the latest. Unicorn sounds the most likely destination.

Yes or if you prefer a pint of Doctor Holts the grapes in virtually next door. See you there.

It's on Liverpool Road, Patricroft - opposite the Fire Station.

Junction with Eliza Ann St. Crackin, unspoilt gem.
