We have a new conditioner who is joining us from London wasps. Just read it on Stephen Wilds Twitter account, we seem to get a new one each year. Hopefully he will be good, although I thought we were a lot fitter last year than previous so hopefully he can build on it and help bulk up some of the forwards.
Anyone any news on the lad from Wakefield Howarth, looks like Cas have made two signings which should open up the way for him to join us!

Can't be that good if he's come from yawnion where fitness is hardly high on the agenda.

To play backrow in Union requires similar fitness levels to that required in League. I found myself on the wrong side of a miss matched Union game a few years ago, and learnt the hard way. Now I won't tell you Union players run the ball in as hard, but when the opposition started to move ball around the field, I had to call on similar levels of aerobic fitness to that of playing prop for 80mins in league.

Union are breading some big players at the moment, and Wasps have history of bulking up their players.

Could be just what we need.

On the video of the squad training on the Fishal site is that Keka with his KOTS styleeee beard??

I think that getting them back so much sooner this time will ensure a greater general level of fitness come the start of the season, what I am hoping is that the players get proper individual training regimes and hopefully have their dietary habits controlled more than in previous seasons.

I have started my pre-season training as well, early this year, infact too early if the missus is to be believed.

He must have caught 'The Salford Laurel & Hardy' on one of their 'up' days. Let's face it, it doesn't take much to turn Laurel & Hardy into Hindley & Brady now does it?

He made some very good noises on the video id bet it was parish as he shared the same work hard attitude. Good luck to him not had a good conditioner since Eddie mcguiness so if he can get them as fit as Eddie did in 06 then we might achieve somthing.

Just watched the video of the new guy and he certainly makes the right noises and I do hope he does target each player with different regimes.
But what on earth has running over tyres, lifting mats and walking on blocks of wood suspended on a ceiling got to do with fitness? Would love to have seen then bity where Feka did the high wire act as bet he litterally brought the house down
