Now you all know that I don't tend to have a dig at the club and in-fact find myself constantly defending it but I've got to say £20 is a tad steep and no discount for Season Ticket holders? When you total up what the day could cost you. If you're not a season ticket holder it's £10 to get in, £5 for a programme and £20 for the after match bash add to that that if you are going into the VC at the end of the game you’ll be wanting drinks (@ around £3 a pint) and if you're taking the family it could cost you a fair bit for an day out.

The ground is ours and I just feel that we may be being a little fleeced to celebrate its final day considering the current financial situation some of us find ourselves in. I know many will disagree with me but I fear this may be becoming a cash cow for the club.

Not quite what I and many others had hoped for.

I actually feel a little let down by the amount of events that have (or in fact haven't) taken place to celebrate the old girl all season long and I was hoping that the last day would be something really special but now I'm not so sure.

I know I'll now get the "no matter what the club do there are wrong" statements but this is pretty rare of me to voice my opinions on the club in a negative way but I'll stand by it. £5 or £10 maybe but £20 I'm not liking.

got to agree KOTS with your sentiments, throw in the fact that it's a Sunday and there's work the morning after I'll be voting with my feet, I'll be at the match, soak up the atmosphere, relive some old memories and then it's home for me and mine.

I agree with some of your points K.O.T.S, just the one regarding diehards need to be at this event! just say that some diehard fans have a family of 5 and they all want to attend this game? if you were struggling with cash, what do you do? A) Not bring them
B) miss out on the after bash
Surly the club could have erected a temp stage in one corner of the ground and had a after game party for ALL diehard fans and fans who came years ago and wanted to see the old lady for one last time. Just dissapointed that the club for one reason or another have not given the "old Lady" the send off she deserves. ALL Fans should have been allowed to enjoy at least " THE LAST EVER GAME AT THE WILLOWS"

Shameful on a day when we will all be spending a huge amount of money already to ask for £20.
It's the final day of the Willows so why not have musical entertainment provided by someone from Salford rather than a soul band?
There should be as mentioned by others a temporary stage set up for a local band with people given freedom to walk around and spend a bit of time by themselves in quiet contemplation, I for one know I'll blbu like a baby and would appreciate a moment on my own to say my good byes.

KOTS just posting what the club are saying,
for me it is too dear by far and a " party in the park" type show should take place on the pitch after the game, scrap the show in the VC, throw open the doors and let people partake at the bar and then watch the entetainment out on the pitch, a few local bands and the club compeire, how hard can that be to organise, have the exits manned so as to prevent freeloaders from rushing in, perhaps just opening the exit under the club at the end of the match.

So anyone who wants a beer upstairs after the game will have to pay £20 just to gain admission?

Why didn't somebody at the club ask the fans what they wanted? After all some of the fans have been there longer than the board.

I Appreciate what you say BP and like i say i totally agree with KOTS, i am not having a snipe at him, just saying that there will be a lot of diehard fans who will be bringing there families to the last game and could miss out enjoying the night with other fans they might have spent there lifetime at the Willows with. Again the club SHOULD listen to the fans and have an open air Party with the fans

So say for a family of 6 like mine (where granted 2 of us now pay for ourselves) who have been going all there life, Its £120 to gain entry, £5 for a programme, no discount for paying the £50 membership and then £3 roughly a pint. What an absolute joke, talk about ting on your own fans. What total moron has thought this one up. The money family's like mine have spent on the club over the years and they do this we have had 6 season tickets a year for the past god knows how long, drink & food money etc and we get charged £20 to get in.

I know a family who use to always come to the home matches and due to being self employed and struggling with money he has stopped coming, his wife still comes to home matches (when she can afford it) with her son and she has to work 3 different jobs just to get by. What an absolute disgrace the club can charge to get and give no thought for people like this.

dont know where you heard this but it aint true,

its normally 50p to get in if your not a member but easily save that on your 1st pint,

theres a bbq after the game at the con and will not be charging entry for this.

What a joke! I stopped drinking in the willows approx 3 years ago now, after 26 years every night apart from holidays and the odd time I was ill and I haven't missed the place one iota.

I wouldn't pay to go in the VC no matter what the occassion was and especially one that was pure and simple set out to fleece supporters of their hard earnt just because its the last game Salford RLFC will play.

If theres an event planned it should be FREE to all supporters, season ticket or not, first come first served. Like KOTS has stated I find it audacious that they should write a must for all die hard supporters!? Don't make me laugh and don't take the p[ii[/iss out of us.

FWIW its been a (another) sh[ii[/it season and for mine the sooner that dump is knocked down the better, I for one won't miss it!

, i can see it being rammed i know a few that are giving the willows a miss and heading there.

If memory serves, it came from a late night discussion about putting something on for the Leeds game.

people were willing to offer to pay some money towards the cost of the bbq but there will be no extra charge to get in on the day, just spoke to someone on the committee and they have confirmed no extra charge but everyones welcome after the party for more fun

The above statement says a lot that is wrong at the club. And just for the people who see no wrong in the statement, it should read something along the lines - A warm welcome to the clubhouse to all Reds fans, the best clubhouse in RL, built for the supporters of Salford RLFC .

Not sorry your not welcome on a match day because we have an evening of cabaret, or red tape in front of the club to stop fans leaning against the wall whilst a wedding goes on. etc etc..

A score to get in I guess after 41 years support I won't be a die hard on the day, I 'll just take my memories home with me.
