after being at the kc last night i feel its time for a change regarding the captain.i am not having a go at holdsworth but he just doesnt seem the type of person who can scream and shout at people.every time we was under r post after a try he was very quiet. maybe if he didnt have the captaincy he may perform better.

Matty Smith should be captain as he is always the one shouting on the pitch and also regularly unfortunately when under the sticks.

Maybe we should leave the Captain debate to the people who really know. He was obviously chosen for a reason. Of all the things fans can debate, the choice of Captain is the one they have the least idea about. Being able to shout out on the paddock is not the only thing a Captain does, yet this is the only aspect fans actually see.

I was just making the point that of all the things fans have the right to question, Captaincy is the one they know the least about. It's fine to question the ability of a coach, or the performance of a player because you can clearly see with your own eyes when those things go wrong or right. The only aspect of Captaincy that fans see is the guy who leads the team out on matchday. Fans clearly don't know how good or rubbish a Captain is because the only people who can say that are the players and coaches around them.

The role of Captain is predominantly played-out away from matchdays. Someone who works with coaches to fine tune game plans, have a rapport with his team mates, be able to bond a team together aswell as point out flaws and encourage when required. There's so many aspects that for fans to question a Captains ability is like forming an opinion on a movie you've never seen.

Oh, so you think Holdsworth is perfect then do you?!

You can't just blame the captain for a poor performance and how can you say he does not communicate with players do you stand with them when we concede a try. The team and all players are responsible for what happens on the park not just the captain. Again a criticising the team for one poor performance we have played well in recent weeks these things happen at times accept it and move on

sorry to say, but Holdsworth is not a captain, like a lot before (any sport), his game has gone down in standard. he is not a captain!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wild would be my captain! No disrespect to Holdsworth, but he should be relieved of the burden and allowed to concentrate on guiding the team around the park.

I've never been happy with Holdsworth being named as Captain because in my eyes it has effected his game.

Luke Patten is in my mind the ideal person for the job and I'm pretty sure our new head-coach will sort things out in time.
