I'm assuming from this you'll be hoping for a Great Britain call-up, as, after trying to make sense of your second sentence, I can only assume that you have never visited any countries that have English as their mother tongue.

Pardon my ignorance but how does this impact on paying Dobson's wages? Ok I get the fact Dobson is ineligible to play while Mason is playing due to quota restrictions, but he is still technically an overseas player. However, he is still being paid as an overseas player whilst de-registered or does that not matter? Am I even making sense?



If someone can rephrase that into English it would be appreciated!

who you can play for

so if you de-register a player should he be paid, part of the cap, can he walk away and sign for another club???

It's good for the profile of our game to have names like Mason playing and, as far as I can see, HKR are just using the rules to their advantage while sifting through the remaining red tape.

I'd have no problem with it whatsoever if Salford were doing it and am not hypocritical enough to slag someone else for doing it.

I watched Tonga when I was at the world cup and don't recall him playing. Mind, it was only one of their three fixtures so I guess it's possible he played in one of the other games.

I think the RL are setting a very dangerous precedent. Will this not encourage clubs to sign an extra unregistered overseas player as a back up for when any of their other overseas players get injured? Law of averages that one of your overseas players will be out injured the majority of the time!

Personally I think it's been rubber stampted because it's Mason and he has a high profile in the game. Had it been a lesser known player I think the RL wouldn't have allowed it.
