I would welcome him with open arms, a quality player very much in the Fata Sini mould.

As for his try scoring record, he's scores in 41% of his Super league matches, compare that to our current wingers, Jodie is at 50% and Gibbo is at 32%. Also just as reference David Hodgson, one of the most prolific try scores since 2003 is only at 45%, I don't think Pelo is that far off.

Agree entirely P. Very strong in the upper body, with just a "hint" of serious aggression. I wouldn't want to attack him if there was an alternative.

As for him "settling" at The Reds: just give us a chance to make him welcome!!

We dont need another winger, we have Sean Glesson to come back within the next weeks that will feel like a new signing for us. Plus then we can move Mark Henry back to centre he looked dangerous in that position all of last year!

I'd say that we do need another winger. Broughton is the only natural winger in the team. Nero can only play centre and Henry, Gleeson and Gibson are centres who play wing from time to time. I think we'd all like us to get another big prop in the team, but I would be very happy if we somehow managed to sign Pelo.

I'm really not sure what the fascination is with Sean Gleeson, I'm not trying to put the lad down but people are making it out that he's some sort of star. Since he made his début in 2005, he's only made 78 league starts and scored 20 tries in that period, so not enough game time tells me that whatever club he's been at didn't see him as a front line centre/wing and I'm not sure why people think that'll be any different here? Also people questioned Pelo's scoring rate, Gleeson's is fairly poor.

I hope the lad proves me very wrong but I'll wait and see, oh and I don't think his defence is up to much either having watched him against HKR.

For me, yes we could do with another 80 minute prop and I would love for us to land one (and maybe 2 second rowers, oh hang on



) but when you look at the squad another outside back wouldn't go amiss.

I don't see where Gleeson fits into the side, even if he is fit. I was a bit bemused at his signing and only really thought he was signed as a backup/cover for the centre position.

Of all the players that have left Wakefield since the end of last season Gleeson is the one we miss the least. He is defensively poor, especially positionally and in attack isn't particularly quick or powerful. Squad player at best.

Not sure why we went for Gleeson in the first place, would rather we'd gone for Jackie Gleeson to be fair.

Pelo is as someone else has said very much in the Fata Sini mould and would for me be a brilliant addition, though can only see him going back to Les Cats.
