Was wondering what people's 17 would be for the first game v Crusaders @ MM, I would go with:-

Looks good apart from our front row.
Parker looks unfit Sidlow to soft. Neal and Anderson? he's a big boy and could be very mobile?

I think the back line picks itself, up front (unless Ray doesn't get banned by some miracle...) the I'd go with Boyle and Jewitt as starting props with Neal, Feka & Bailey on the bench (with Smith of course). Other than that, yeah that looks about right to me.

I have always thought sidlow has played well when started from the beginning of a game but doesn't get the chance ofter enough, i would only put parker in there just for his experience as the others all still very young and naive!!!!

I like Sidlow but I think he's a better second rower thhan a prop even though he doesn't have the right build for a second rower for mine and he's a decent impacy player but not a starting super league prop for mine.

Is Jewitt injured or is he not going to be a regular this season ? Just wanted to know for Fantasy League

Jewitt will be a regular this season provided he doesn't get injured.
Cashmere has been banned for 1 match and Boyle 2, so they won't be playing.

He may well have to play prop in Cardiff as Cashmere and Boyle are both suspended. (Boyle's also suspended for the Saints game)

Going with Smith as I think he organises the middle better tho close run thing with Stef who comes off bench after half hour Smith to hooker. Gonna miss Cashemere and Boyle tho, Bar Paleaaesina i thnk we`re missing punch

in the middle.
Definitely a very important game this for the club, if we can keep the penalties below 50 we should win, i hope !

Bloody hell RH: for goodness sake get a grip man!!

For once we appear to have a really good team for the coming season. So why the "for what it's worth" comment?

If anyone thinks that a good squad on paper is anything to go by ALONE, then they are living in an unreal SL world.

I think that this season (and a lot from last season) is about MORE than who has signed which player(s).
The way that everyone at The Reds and that includes the players, coaches, trainers, Chairman, Board, marketing, fitness trainers/nutrition staff, ground staff and last but not least US.........the supporters, has been pretty much spot on: especially when you compare this to a lot of previous efforts.

I don't think that you can underestimate the positive impact that the signings of Daniel Holdsworth and subsequently. Luke Patten can have. These guys have got "Winner", in their blood, and this is bound to rub off and have a big influence on our youngsters: not only in our first choice squad but right through all our youngsters and less experienced players coming through the ranks.

Whatever happens during the course of this coming season it speaks absolute volumes for the amount of positive attention we've been getting from the RL/SL pundits and fans from other RL/SL fans.

I get the feeling for the first time in a long time that people are taking Salford Reds seriously.
And that is a great feeling.
