Had to be ratchford for me,looked very keen and aware.
that one break in first half by patten was worth admission fee alone too!

Yes totally agree Smith just doesn't have that flare that Ratchford and Holdsworth have, Must say though DJ made a few mistakes tonight but you can expect that with it being his first game this year. Patten's attack is ace!

thought steff was good, but I would have to say Stephen Wild for me, did a hell of a lot of work and put some big hits in. He really is a big unit. Thought The general was good, he does look a class above at times, imagine once were a more settled team and how well he will do. A special mention to Ryan Boyle today who worked his socks off and was the reason for the last try. Thought Broughton and Reg were pretty average today, however, early days!!
Overall pretty happy!!

Mark Henry for me, was all over the place. i think we have to sort our plays out, everything was through DJ which, Wigan soon sorted out. we need a 2nd phase of play and quick. OK it was a friendly and we are trying things out but sorry folks Matty Smith aint up to it so play Stefan in the next 2 games to Gel with DJ. IMO

Agree Wild went OK especially in the first half, however disagree with you on Holdsworth , he was the focus of everything we did when on field and you can see patten linking up well with him already . Broughton was out of position for the first wigan try yes but not given any decent ball to show his wares, however he was on the end of the Ratchford break in the last minute.

Considering it was the first hit-out for the full team + we were missing Anderson & Bailey I'm was happy with the overall performance. we only lost by 6 and I'm struggling to think of a Wigan try that wasn't on the back of a Phil Bentham penalty that gifted them field position, or a dropped-ball.

Think they need to work some plays out for Paleaasina, no use handing him the ball with a 2-yard run up.

Suprised none of you are talking about Adam Sidlow, can't remember noticing him any other time I've seen us play you but I was very impressed with him today.

Salford prop of the day. He put two cracking shots in within the first 10 minutes and was solid thereafter. Thought Jewitt had a bit more oomph as well. (Just stop shuffling before you hit the line Lee! You'll really start making an impact if you do.)
