| Got to agree, too expensive! I thought £18 was a bit steep. No room for the casual fan I'd say especially if they don't get it right on the pitch! If they do fair play, might be just about worth it. Lets hope thats what they're banking on!

| Odd time to reveal this - surely this news earlier may have encouraged more season ticket sales. If £20 is going to be the standard admission rate then hopefully they'll make [uwide[/u use of a discounted (£18 - or ideally a bit less) pre-purchase rate - and make pre-purchasing [uas easy as possible[/u i.e. print your own ticket etc. Net result is no price increase for anyone organised enough to plan a day in advance, and people then not being put off by a 6pm cloudburst.

Well, the club has sent out season ticket info for 2012 and it does say that 2012 will cost more than 2011.
The club are, however, offering fans feeling flush enough an option to buy 5 years worth of season tickets for the same annual price as this years.

How do you think I feel the way the fixtures work out, a season ticket is no good to me, and miss most matches on the late shift.
now I get told it's £20 and how to save on a season ticket (when I’m working), now I know we all have our views on Sunday v Friday, but until the end of March it should a Sunday afternoon due to possible frost, OK them moved to evening kick offs ( if that what the fans want)
And on the subject of frost, does the new ground have underground heating?

not at the moment.
To be fair I have noticed a jump in many admission prices for several (some very anorak-y) events at various venues. I feel the team -if it lives up to its potential- will be worth the price as long as I remain in employment and see following Rl and the Reds as a very important factor in my life.

| Does admission to sporting events have VAT in the price? If so then thanks to that nice Mr Osborne there's a 2.5% increase that's unavoidable

Yeah that would never happen under a Labour government , maybe Mr Salford is cashing in as well then as 40 odd pence doesn't quite add up

£20 Match Day admission is on a par with most of the other Superleague Clubs , including Cas, Hudds is £21. Wigan £22 .
If you buy a membership pass = £ 50 and attend All games you would pay approx £16
other members of the family would qualify for a pass for free and would only pay £12-13 adult admission .
personally the membership only set at £25 , buying matchday tickets on a pay as you go basis would be better , but the club was trying to tempt as many season ticket sales as poss.
They may have been holding back gameday prices in case they were able to freeze rate but obviously decided they couldn't
I missed the option about buying 5 years worth of season tickets ?

For away suporters in the North stand seating is £18.

I looked Wigan up before and as Ashton Bear says, their basic admission is £18 - and this is what concerns me. If we want to attract new fans, will the curious fan in the western side of Greater Manchester choose to watch the perennial cellar dwellers in an old fashioned stadium for £20, or take a short drive to see the Champions in a modern stadium for £18? We [uhave[/u to do good, and easily accessible pre-purchase offers if we want to get anyone other than our core fans watching.

| Absolutely disgraceful. Did last season's gates not show them that they have the pricing policy completely wrong? Expecting another decrease in average attendance which will not help the franchise bid.

| But on the flip side stew a much better team competing for a top 8 place ( as the club are hoping) will attract some of those occasional supporters to come back. If the team are winning it is the only way new supporters will be tempted. The club are in a catch 22. They know we both need to compete and encourage more support. But how do you get a much better quality player/team together without raising prices based off such a small following.
You have a choice to either whinge about it and let the club go back to the way it's been this past few seasons. Or stand by the club and help it move forward to potentially bigger and better things.

| Look if city can't get people in for a fiver and kids for free what hope have we got, but if we look at Sale they are more expansive then us but they have been running a massive press campaign in the Metro with full page adds for each match with some tickets only a tenner, now perhaps the club may do something like this again.

| Could just about stomach £20 if we were putting the price down for kids to compensate however we now charge the same price as Man Utd for junior tickets. Wonder which team local kids would rather go and watch? Should be £5 max for kids pay on the gate.

| Got my season ticket so it doesn't directly affect me but dear dear a score when it's eighteen to watch the pies. It doesn't really add up
I would suggest the con club need to reinforce the roof as the ten or so who watch for free might become considerably more.

| The club have taken a huge gamble with this pricing policy. If the Team are playing attractive rugby and are competitive, fans will pay up. However, if results and performance are poor, our attendances will reach an all time low.
Season tickets are only attractive if you able to make the games. Many fans work unsocial hours or rotating shifts, (or even take holidays during the summer!) thus negating any discount.
I think a good idea would be to reward fans who 'pay and pay' regularly. How about a system where the admission gets cheaper by the game, £20 , £19, £18 etc down to £15 quid. I'm sure such a system could be impletented fairly easily and would encourage regular support.
Cheap Junior and family tickets are essential for encouraging future support.

| £20 next year as opposed to £18 last year represents an 11% increase.
With the signings that we have made, is it likely that our performances will be 11% better (God knows how you would measure that?!)
Perhaps more importantly, is it likely that our wage bill has increased by 11%??
