This is a genuine question from a genuine supporter.

WHY, don't we have an online shop? I ask this from a purely selfish standpoint as I live a long way from Salford.

All sensible answers and suggestions considered.

I've purchased tickets off the site , if you look across the other SL sides and the breath of products available , I can buy a Catalans Shirt online but not a Salford shirt from their own club site , plain stupid . only site that worse is Crusaders FFS.
Can you imagine the trade Warrington & Leeds are doing online , Ok were not going to Wembley ... yet . but there must be business out there

We can't even get the game date right when advertising our last game of the season, imagine them trying to take orders on line god knows what you'd end up with

I can't even get replies to emails which would bring in income for the Club let alone shop online.

Seriously useless.

In this day and age when Amateur Clubs have online shops, it beggars belief that a so-called progressive Club like ours doesn't have anything in place that is seen as standard to any modern business.

I'd give the Club a piece of my mind but they wouldn't open the email/not answer the phone...

I must admit that it seems almost beyond comprehension that Dave Tarry could have overlooked this. Dave is a seriously smart lad.

I just think that at this part of the season we should maybe think about sorting something out for next season.
It would just be another string to our bow.

Joke as you may I'm pretty certain the little things like this are something they look at. There must be a marketing and promotion section in the framework, you'd think that we would be lacking shockingly behind in that catagory.

I am not joking and these things do make a difference.

I've said it before and I'll say it again if there are small mistakes like this being made I just hope to God that bigger and potentially more damaging ones aren't being made that we don't automatically see or get to know about.

If we have some kind of technical issues (or lack of knowledge?) preventing us from having an online shop, couldn't the club at least set up an Ebay shop???

We are such an a joke as a club behind the scene!sales/retail/marketing/advertising/promotions etc etc over the lasT couple of years has been complete dog s**t,to move forward as a club we really need to get up with the times and when we move to barton we need a clear out behind the scenes as much as we have realised we need one on the pitch!
How on earth do sales sharks as a rugby union club in what is meant to be a rugby league area of the country, pull in a lot better crowds then us?????......BECAUSE THEY ARE 10 TIMES MORE PROFESIONAL THAN US!!

Sale are in Europe: massive media hype, are RU (journos still admire RU), get a lot of support from the Amateur clubs as they try to avoid fixture clashes, and are not in a rl area: I work 10 mins walk from their ground and most of my colleagues are unaware of the final tomorrow.

We are in more areas and support more schools.

However that does not excuse the lack of internet marketing and sales.

with the current marketing you could do this on match day and most wouldn't know a game is on.

And I think (maybe GT could help on this) all items have been requested by fans so they know there is a demand for items - not just order a truckload of stuff and hope it sells

really really poor today again by the club. Littler, Fitz and Alker all given the chance to say something to the fans and they can't even get the microphone to work!!

There was also a message sent on facebook that season tickets would be announced today and all that was said was keep a eye on the website

The muppets who run the site are amateurs.

Once the Club finally gets its act together we might see some progress.

I along with many reds fans are really hoping the club can get up with the times more and stop operating in such an amateur way in many departments,talk about the club moving forward on the pitch with all the signings!!!!more important lets have some new faces off the pitch to get rid of our mickey mouse set up compared to the rest of super league!!!
