just been and had a look around MOM at the the trafford , and was very impressed with the Salford city reds layout, although not open officially you can have sneak preview for free at the moment of what the museum will be showing. As i say salford have a great area full of old and new memorabilia set out in display cabinets an area that looks like a rugby pitch for children i recommend you all go and have a look, now and when it fully opens.
Looks like a decent afternoon out, shame the RFL havnt got a pitch there but good luck to you as your the only sports club there at moment, looking on the map its across from the trafford centre so is it an old warehouse or purpose built building.
The M.O.M. is next to the Barton Square bit (opposite side of the road to the Trafford Centre) .It is housed in the massive fomer Argos warehouse, currently utilising around 1/10th of the buildings capacity. It will continue to grow and evolve into something huge as exhibits continue to arrive. The SALFORD CITY REDS section is one of the first exhibiitons you come across in a very prominent position. It is well worth a visit for Rugby League and sports fans in general and evoke fond memories for Salford fans old and new. It could also raise the awareness of Rugby League to a wider audience due to its proximity to the NEW stadium at Barton and potential catchment area.
