Thought it worth mentioning that two Ex-Reds ( David Hogdson 19 , & Darryl Goulding 22 ) occupy 2 of the top Four Try Scorers after round 21 .
Two other ex Reds - Richie Myler 13 & Luke Dorn 11 tries are in the top 20 .
Another observation
Of Salford Top Try Scorers this season All are new signings bar Adam Sidlow & Karl Fitzpatick :-
Jodie Broughton - 8
Ashley Gibson - 8
Karl Fitzparick - 7
Matty Smith - 7
Daniel Holdsworth - 5
Adam Sidlow - 5
The Following Players have yet to make it past the Try line This season Dispite a accumulated games total of 83 between them :-
Jeremy Smith
Ray Cashmere
Malcolm Alker
Rob Parker
Luke Adamson
Lee Jewitt
Salfords Total Tries for 2010 so far is 59 ( 2nd Bottom after Catalans on 57, but the Frenchies scored 5 tries last week in beating St Helens , so are likely to overtake us by the end of the season - in both Tries & League postion . )
2009 Total 80 ( 13/14 )
2007 Total 85 ( 12/12 ) R
2006 Total 106 ( 5/12 )
2005 Total 99 ( 11/12 )
2004 Total 85 ( 11/12 )
2002 Total 78 ( 12/12 ) R
2001 Total 100 ( 10/12 )
2000 Total 91 ( 9/12 )
lots of food for thought but my summations are as follows :-
We need to score about 20 Tries in the next 7 games to avoid this season being the worst try total for a Salford Team since 2000 ( oh and 48 tries for it to be the best
)
Congratulations to the 6 new signings of 2010 who contributed a 34 out those 59 tries ( 58% ) thats significant.
The Pack have only added 10 tries , half of them from Adam Sidlow alone normally a spelled Player .
and the six or so try virgins need to get a move on as I'd rather not see their shiney ars*s at the end of the season ...
. most unused chat of the season .." so come on Salford Reds.. we're going to score more tries, score more tries "
