You know, I was only thinking the other day, which Aussie forward would I like to see wearing a Salford shirt and may be available come the end of the season... Andrew Ryan was the first person to come to mind.

It would be a glorious signing, lets just hope that his mate Dan can talk him into joining us (along with a rather large wage packet I should think) and it doesn’t turn out to be another Minnicello / Gower situation.

Would be a great signing. Would probably be made captain aswel which could be another persuader. Next season is looking good. Just hope this season doesnt fizzle out though and we at least try to improve on last years 14 points

another case of an aussie tryin to get one last big pay packet. the dogs dont want him and hes been a great servant to them through a lot of hard times. hes not having the best of seasons this year and also last year he didnt play good football. salford would be mad to sign him. its another case of a english polayer goin to miss out because wed rather pat big $$$$ for a import. this is the most annoying aspect of the game in england. same with the football. not many wanna take a long term punt on our own players!!!! not happy

I’m sorry have I missed something here. This is Andrew Ryan we’re talking about right? The guy has played 11 times for Australia, 12 times for NSW & 5 Country of Origin matches and over 240 matches in the NRL and he’s a waste of money????

Because of course there are loads of players knocking about willing to come to the UK with that kind of experience. We were all gutted when Stapo left, the kind of tough, experienced, nugget of a forward the same can be said of Rutcho

We have a number of young forwards, Jewitt, Sidlow, Boyle, Adamson, Wood etc that would thrive off the knowledge and experience he’d bring.

Look, it's nice to be linked with an overseas signing someones heard about for once.
It wouldn't be a huge surprise if the extended signing of Holdsworth wasn't based on the strengthening of our squad next season, and Dan's ex NRL grand Final winning Captain isn't exactly the worst player we've been associated with. ( cue long list of overseas dud's .)

Given the choice I'd rather get Dave Taylor from the Rabbitoh's.
