Last night was one of the most boring,predictable,soul wrenching, Clueless performances i have ever witnessed in 15 years (And thats saying something!) We are so lightweight in the pack it is an insult. The Young Lads in the squad are like Lambs to the slaughter, and with no platform for the half backs just what on earth was Mcrae's gameplan ? Why leave Magilvary on the wing to be humiliated by VinceMellars (Who?..) Surely if something is broke you fix it.

.Yes it is now time for Shaun to do the decent thing and walk away now and give us enough chance to rebuild and allow us to get Millward in to steady the sinking ship, Millward will attract Quality players! .As a previous poster (LF) has stated the Players DO NOT respect or believe in Mcrae's coaching ability,He is a fossil ..Still living on his past coaching manual from rothmans 1996. Yes he's a likeable guy but lets cut to the chase,He has achieved nothing since 1996 and we have such high ambitions "sleeping Giant" etc we cannot carry on with Shaun at the helm. Mr Wilky the salford fans admire and respect you tenfold but please take action now this is your livelyhood on the line! ,you Cannot afford to see how it "pans out" we cannot"wait for the pitches to firm up" we cannot hang all of our franchise hopes on the new stadium , Because if we have another showing like last night we will barely get 2000 salford fans through the gate and the RFL will feel the heat because we are fast becoming the laughing stock of the "Super league".

Could you afford to pay off McCrea and compensate Leigh,Millward is on a 3 year contract i think.

Dont think we could afford to pay millward, let alone pay of Mccrea, just my opinion but think the pot is empty at salford, low crowds, and below our average season ticket sales we are skint, or i could be wrong and the club has got money, but not willing to spend any, hense the team that we have this year, maybe the club know somthing we dont, like the new franchise licenses, maybe they know we aint gonna get a renewal, and thats why they are not spending money, but i belive we are just skint, plain and simple.

Also think we should look closer too home for a new head coach, with mr hunte, think he would do a great job with the team.

Alan is already part of the coaching team,and look where we are!..Hunte is not the Answer..Ok so if Millward isn't the right option who else is available? John Sharp?, John Pendlebury,Bobbie Goulding, Ellery Hanley, JasonTaylor,Graham Murray, Des Clarke, Matt Calland,Who else?

Is Alan Hunte actually working with the main squad though?

We cant afford a new coach, not unless we pay him on a you win you get paid basis, hense the alan hunte as head coach, if we had the money we would not be having this thread, as barton flyer says, alan has nothing to do with the first team squad

And Alan Hunte has been there, done it, played at the top level in British RL - I don't have any idea how he's viewed by the players that he's been coaching - anybody know?

Alan Hunte will be working to instructions I imagine from McRae. Same as any organisation the top man calls the shots.

I recall reading an interview with Robbie Paul during the close season saying that one of the reasons he left was because he did not agree with some things that went on on the training ground. As a punt for new coach how about Robbie?

I think john pendlebury as he was at wigan when they had sucsess as a assistant and did not do a bad job when coached halifax i think it was so he will have alot of experiance. When mcrae got the job i knew it was a poor move and said that all along bring in pendlebury now

cant see us getting rid of coach this early in the season.It was very embarrassing to watch last night aint got a clue why we performed so badly. Heard the team were out laughin and joking after the match.Should have been sent home and back in first thing saturday morning if you ask me!!

[iShowing McRae the door and replacing him with Ian Millward will not make any differance in my opinion at this early stage of the season.

People do need to seperate their working & social life for sanity's sake.

If I had as bad a working day as the team did on Friday night I certainly wouldn't be out laughing about it.

Having paid £18 to watch that I wasn't laughing either. Not been a Salford supporter for many years (unlike many others on here) but have watched RL for nearly 20 years and can honestly say I have never seen a performance so poor by any side I have watched.

On that performance and other posts I read on here I think preparing for life out of SL will be the only answer.

You can only make excuses for so long and on that showing changes should be made.

Maybe all concerned are happy with the way things are? Well they will be playing to an empty ground if it carries on.

they were booked in at total fitness in walkden between 10am and 12pm saturday morning. Seen a notice at reception when i was in there on friday.

They were not in the Balti Bilash after the game either, I am now comfort eating the display was so bad.
