| So with the season crreping upon us, Who do you think we will miss the most?
Will it be =#FF0000Stapo's Agression or =#FF0000Johnny Wilshere's Decision making? =#FF4000Robbie Pauls Scoots from Dummy half?? Paul White's Blistering pace or =#FF4000Mylers attacking magic?. Personally i think the kids have got a huge task on their hands but hopefully the Reds Faithful will get behind the lads. Im mourning the loss of Wilshere more than any of the others, Time will tell but i think its a huge loss. Can't wait to be stood in the Willows watching Les Diables Rouges in 2010.

| Wilshere for me wont be missed as I said the club should have sacked him after the DD incident, the one we will miss more than most realise if Stapleton as like I say in another thread he is as close to a David Young figure since the great man left and is the sort of prop we as the club we are in the position we invariably find ourselves need most in a hard grafting no nonsense player.

| Wilshere has been one of our best players! Who has he been replaced by? Players from Saints reserves. How can he not be missed?

| Two for different reasons.
Myler - he'll have two blinders against us.
Stapleton: I am worried about the average age of our pack.

Off topic, but will this happen this season?
Last season we (unfairly) got on the players backs at every opportunity.
Oh and Stapo, no Johnny, can I say both?

| Depending =#400080WHICH Wilshire took to the park, probably him.
He could be either the greatest player in a game or he could be so disinterested & his body language as to which John was on the park was very evident.

| I think we'll miss Wilshere don't get me wrong, but we do seem to have strengthened in the backs overall. So for me Stapleton will be the player we'll miss most we could do with another old pro in the pack IMO

| I hope we dont jump on the players backs like we did last season, it didn't help anybody! Especially this season having so many younger players, it could crush them. Suppose you always get the idiots though, and there are too many of them in the shed!

Hopefully we'll have Rob Parker back in the pack so there's your ' old pro ' . Myler-Wilshere-Stapleton, that was then but this is now, we'll wait to see whether the team are united behind Alker in his new coaching role, there was definately upheaval last year! So here's to a new season without the bickering , the boo boys and Offiah conducting contract negotiations 18month's prematurely via the press

I was simply stating that IMO one more old head in the pack wouldn't be a bad thing, I like Parker, but still think we'll miss stapo big time. As you say that was then and this is now and yes we will soon see. All I was doing was simply answering the question of who I think we'll miss most.
Here's to a cracking 2010 and hopefully proving a few critics wrong along the way

| STAPO, no doubt, think big phils got a big chance to shine but i think cashmere needs to get some scoring sorted, fair enough he can carry a ball with 4 defenders on his back but i want to see him cross that line more often.

He's a prop, his scoring of tries should be the least of our concerns.

I agree. It's no good just having players who are one-dimensional.
Take Ratchford for example; he may have a decent kicking game and the ability to ghost through the defensive line but how often do you see him driving the ball in, making the hard yards up the middle, or in the middle of the park putting in big tackles? Time that young Stef rolled his sleeves up and put some graft in.
Similarly, I can't remember Leuluai or Parker utilising grubber kicks too often last season?
