This, in theory means that a current Salford player could be playing the Aussies in just over a week. Odd feeling really. It should be a feeling of elation yet I doubt there's anyone involved with Salford RL remotely interested. As for the rest of that team. Oh dear!

| I'm surprised no-one's been on here calling us bitter
I'd hazard a guess that Myler won't be playing against the Kiwi's and the Aussies but you'd think that Smith would want the team to gel. If he does start all of the games then it really is farcical and Tomkins must be wondering what he has to do to get a start against a player who not only lost out to him in the Young Player of the Year but hardly even played a game in the 2nd half of the season.

| If Myler is to play against the Aussies and Kiwis i feel his shoddy defence will cost England greatly. He'll surely be targetted by the big guys.

| You know, my feelings towards Myler are pretty neutral. No bitterness on my part. He's just a guy that plays for another team. Its just odd that a player is selected for the highest level he can be selected in, with "Salford City Reds" next to his name on the the team sheet, and nobody gives a damn. Not suggesting anybody should, just wish it was possible to enjoy the fact.
As team selections go, his name as well as any name, I consider laughable. A pretty dire selection all around imo.

| What really has made me shat myself laughing at was that Sean O'Loughlin was going to be playing in the centres against the Aussies and Kiwis as they would have ripped him to shreads outwide, then to compound things we have had to go to Tom Briscoe as his replacement.
Are we really that hard up (not a slight on Briscoe but never is he ready to play at that level just yet) ??? and have we not learned lessons that picking players out of position meerly to get them on the pitch is a slippery slope to regular and repated thrashings.

| I think it's quite refreshing that he's trying something new with new players who haven't been subjected to beating after beating by the aussies and kiwis...yet!!
And for the people moaning about Tomkins not getting in ahead of Myler...Myler is a 7, Tomkins is a 6...simple. I doubt it has anything to do with what club either player plays for (or will play for)
And maybe this is just the team for this particular game against the French which we should win fairly convincingly and changes will be made against the Aussies and Kiwis...

Firstly, bless your innocence secondly, against Wales he had a loose forward at centre, and a centre at full back, so playing players in their reconised positions doesn't seem to bother Mr. Smith
