| While no doubting he has potential i would only want players at Salford who want to be there. Like Myler if Jordan thinks the grass is greener elsewhere well its thank you and goodbye.

Well said. Although Turner has potential he isnt even anything special and still has a very long way to go.

| Wasn't he a Scrum-Half in his youth?
I don't think his move into the centre really helped him tbh.
My feelings on this transfer are very "meh".

| Most Hull fans don't seem to think he'll figure in the first 13 next season. I hope for his sake he has assurances or else he could end up on like Tim Hartley.

| I don't think it will be a good move for Turner to move to Hull personally. Hull are just the shambles at the moment and can't really get any worse but probably will. Salford can only improve and have pulled off a few shocks this season and have some good young players in Adamson and Ratchford. If he stays he could be a key player for the future but if he is to leave surely he should be going to a club that could at least make the top 6. I see a lot of improvement in Salford with a few more signings and an astute coach in Shaun McRae.

| I have always rated Turner very highly, he has the potential to be what ever he wants to be in the rugby word.
Unfortunately he needs to learn his trade at the moment and like myler doing it in a pressure cooker atmosphere will stunt his grown.
I fear the new tim hartley is about to be reborn

| Don't worry too much about the future of Jordan Turner up at the KC Stadium.
I'm sure Hull FC head coach Agar will play Turner at either loose forward or stand-off and also I think he will give him a chance with the goal kicking duties from time to time.
In the cold light of day I don't think Jordan Turner wanted to leave Salford City Reds it's my opinion he probably asked for an increase in his wages and knowing the powers that be down at the Willows this was refused with him being a young lad.
Allegedly Hull FC have offered Turner two year deal and something in the region of treble his wages that he is on at Salford City Reds so who can blame this young man for moving on at the end of this season.
Plus lets not forget Salford City Reds will also kop for a payment in the region of £12,000 if and when Jordan Turner moves.

| I don't know what the fuss is about. Admittedly I haven't wtached him as much as the vast majority on this board, but he doesn't look that great to me.
JR mentioned that he will be played at loose-forward or stand-off. He hasn't got the game to play either of those positions at the top end of SL.
Maybe I catch him at the wrong time because I have the impression that his defence is below average and he has very limited ball skills.

Agreed about his defence, but some of his ball skills are great at times the offload at Catalan earlier in the year was sheer class. He's played stand off all his life until he made it to the first team, has a great rugby brain and great vision, and showed what he can do when he played stand off for a half eariler this season. Saying that I really don't think he has what it takes to make it as a loose or as a centre, but IMO defo worth a shot at 6.

| Have to say that I agree with Enfield Exile on this. We've had lots of talk about his potential now for about 3 years at both half back and loose but he's clearly not as good as Ratchford even now, so for him to claim the number 6 shirt here is not going to happen. If he wanted to develop as a loose forward then he needs the ability to tackle anything that moves like Swain or Alker (which I don't think he does and doesn't look likely to develop either) and he needs the ability to be able to get his team mates to stay on his shoulder for when he either creates a gap or gets his hands free in a tackle, which again he shows little evidence of.
Of course, I may well be proved wrong but I already think that Jordan's development has slowed to a stop recently so perhaps a change of club might be the thing he needs. Certainly, if he stays with us, it's difficult to see where he fits in both now and in the future. If he does go, then best of luck to him but I don't think it's such a big loss.

The Hull deal was rumoured to be done months back and Turner had no intention of staying at Salford.
It was never a question of Salford offering a low contract because I've been reliabily informed that his agent (Phil Clarke's brother) kept telling the club that they wouldn't discuss new terms until the end of the season.
This was basically a devious plan so Turner would go on virtually a free (Apart from youth player compensation scheme) and be kept in the side, giving him more SL experience.

Fella, you have seen him play far more than I do so I'll take your word for it. And with you being a half-back for Folly...
Does he show these ball-handling skills often?

| He has never been the same since he got that head injury at Batley last year.
He seems to be frightened now when going into a tackle.
I agree SO would be his best position, whether he wil get that at Hull is another matter.
Sad to see a player who has come through the ranks leaving, but good luck to him
