very sad by this news rip sir bobby great man and a great loss

I always remember how Sir Bobby was pilliored by press and public alike prior to Italia 90 and the dignified way he carried himself. After Italia 90 he was much more appreciated for the ability he had. RIP Sir Bobby.

Top bloke and probably one of the only Managers in the game that no-one has a bad word to say about. RIP Sir Bobby, a true gent that will be sorely missed.

Best England boss in my lifetime, a great club coach and seemed like a thoroughyl nice bloke.

The fact that his last public appearance was at a charity event, set up for his own charity foundation, says a huge amount about the man he was.

We have lost one of the best British coaches in a long time today.

RIP Sir Bobby.

Had the pleasure of meeting him at his book signing in the Trafford Centre about 4 years ago, what a nice man he was, didn't usher anyone along so he could get rid of the queue that was forming to get his autograph, had time for every single person who wanted to meet him
