| I've been saying this all along the guy is rubish as a coach he has no idea what to do with this team, when we win he doesnt know how we did it and when we lose he doesnt know, so whos coaching the team, it must be the ball boy

| I personally think there was effort there... the problem was... they had nothing to work with. The team selection and tactics were poor... It's clear to everyone else what's wrong, but this guy is being paid to get it wrong and can't see the wood for the trees. The team selected did put in the effort... but didn't have the know how to undo Castleford.
He's basically papering over the cracks with this comment... cracks that are pretty much all his own doing.

| You'd think after 400 games in charge at top level he would have some idea.

I'd tend to agree with that. It was like last week at Celtic when the players showed real enthusiasm to form scums very quickly for most of the second half, but then once they had the ball they didn't know what to do with it.

We did turn over too much ball. Defensively we were ok against a Cas side that had scored 80 points in their last 2 games How many times were we defending on our own line?
Their tries came from 2 kicks and a dive over from a play-the ball, after we knocked on just after scoring our 1st try making it 6-12.
The game then was anyone's,but instead of driving down the field and putting them under pressure we make a mistake and the moment is gone.

Your right in the first half the Reds were crap and to go in at half-time 12 NIL it was always going to be an uphill struggle.
In the second period Salford did improve because when you look at the stats Salford won the second half 12-6.
But as we all know stats can tell you a few porkys after any game, and to there credit last night the team played much better than they did last week down in Bridgend.
Next Sunday we go to Warrington Wolves and hopefully we will catch them with one eye on the RL Cup semi final.
But if we don't come out with the right attitude for sure there will only be one result come 4.30pm
