Wasn't serious enough to keep him from king street on friday night.

Willie Talau is having a nightmare season since his switch from St Helens.

Injuries are part and parcel of any sport but in the case of Willie Talua he must be a real unlucky so and so.

Here's hoping next season we see him in the form he shown when playing for St Helens.

looks like he's out for the season with a thumb injury

As a Saints fan, I am gutted for Talau with this injury news.

He was awesome for Saints and I would have liked to have seen him stay a bit longer at Saints to be honest. Willie Talau on form is a great player and he will do a good job for Salford.

Get well soon Willie - lets hope we see you back in superleague sooner rather than later.

Talau will be a big loss, particularly if we persevere with Littler in his place.

how many times does this happen to us

More times than I care to think - but I guess it's inevitable if you take older players coming to the end of their careers - injuries increase and they take longer to recover from them. It is gutting in Talau's case as the last couple of games he was really starting to come good for us.
