| He kicked off big time when he was brought off after his short spell.
He was complaining to Scott Naylor as he was walking towards the bench quite aggresively, took his sub top and threw it across the subs bench. He then looked up towards McRae and Simms and starting swearing towards them.
Doesn't seem happy at all.

I didn't actually see it - should be interesting to see what happens in the coming weeks.
It could be frustration that he was still kept out of the starting line-up by Ratchford.
I was quite surprised when Smith did get taken off - he didn't get a particularly large amount of time on the field but I thought we looked a lot better with him on the pitch. As I already said elsewhere, he passes the ball a lot better than Alker from the play the ball, more zip and doesn't loop his passes, keeping them more flat. Looked decent on the occasions when he ran from dummy half as well.

| He was our best player in the 2nd half by quite a long way I thought and I was very surprised when he went off...one thing to note, when both he and Alker were on the pitch, Alker looked like a spare part when we were attacking, he didn't have a clue whether to play as another forward or another half back - whether that's his fault or the coaching team's??

| Thought smith was excellent from dummy half last night. He shown us what we should be expecting from Alker. Now if only Smith could get stronger defensively he could be a superb Hooker.

| I thought Smith did really well when he came on and seemed dangerous.
From the few games I've seen of Salford over the last two weeks and on television, I'd drop Robbie Paul completely and work Smith from of the bench in rotation with Alker. I thought Smith wasn't brought on early enough and should have been brought on in the first half for Alker and then possibly should have finished the game.
I could understand his fustration.

He certainly wasn't a happy bunny when he was brought off. It was just in front of us. The air was blue.

| It does sometimes appear that McRae just feels obliged to make subsitutions rather than them benefiting the team. The same I feel can be said about the amount of time Big Phil gets on the pitch each week. Think Smith deserves another run in the team.

| I must admit I am one of the biggest critics of Jeremy Smith but I felt last night when he came on off the bench he did make an impact and I was very surprised when he was taken off.

I agree. He did a much better job than Alker.
