if anyone (like me) has booked their holidays with freedom direct, bad news, they've gone bust!

It said on the news that they are atol and abta coverd so all their customers should get a full refund.

yes mate, and luckily for me, i can afford to lay out for another holiday straight away. but a lot of people will miss out because they have to wait for their refund.

Hope your prepared for a long wait for refunds.Ive been waiting since last September when my holiday company went bust.the CAA just keep stalling.I bought by credit card and was ATOL bonded but I am not confident of getting my money back. Good luck.

you will get your money back, even if it's through the credit card.

bloody hell thats come as a bit of a shock, went to tenerife 3 weeks ago which was booked through them! i got lucky there, sorry for all who has been effected! It was on watchdog the other week about people not getting money back from 6-7 months ago even though they were atol protected, plus paid by credit card! it's a joke!
