It has come to my attention that more free tickets are available for the Wigan game on Friday night.

Whilst I understand the reasoning behind the give away for the Celtic and Quins games it is starting to concern me.....no pee me off, that I spent £160 on a season ticket when I could have just waited until the season started and got in for free at every match.

Not only that but we were promised a commemorative shirt.....changed to an away one which I don't like....... then they run out of those and start giving away the home one which I do like.

What is going on down there and what is the point of me forking out on the early bird offer if part timers and fence sitters get a better deal?

This is like my insurance company doing special rates for new customers while they screw me every year for staying with them and not claiming!!! Thanks very much!!!

the 2 free tickets are for a thankyou for being in the lottery i have applied and will give to 2 new fans as i too have a season ticket.

I'm in the lottery and have not received any such offer!!

how long you been in the lottery, i have been in a few years now not sure if thats any relevance though,contact the club and see why you didnt they have to be applied for by today and can be picked up before game on friday.

When we were in NL the season ticket came with 10 free numbers for the lottery.
This year I renewed the subscription
Maybe this is where it comes from.
I have ordered my freebies which I will be giving to two new fans.

Once you have used the free ticket offer once you are then on the clubs database so can't register for it again, so you wouldn't be getting in for free every week.

I've got a season ticket and don't mind freebies being given out. Personally I'd rather see a decent crowd rather than a two thirds empty stadium.

Karlos if only that were true. I know at least 3 people who have offers for all 3 home matches so far this season. My point is that my season ticket costs me the equivalent of £11 per game. Don't get me wrong this is amazing value.

Not as good value as FREE though is it?

Fair play to those of you who are introducing new fans to the club but I really feel that the season ticket has been devalued somewhat. I have an 80 mile round trip to pay for every time I come to a home game and yet people who may live round the corner can only be bothered to get off their backsides if they're getting a freebie.

I've aslo had an offer though from the RFL offering tickets to the game. I assume the RFL must have sent it out to people on their database who live locally - a colleague of mine who lives in Bolton has receieved the offer because he's on the database for buying tcikets for Ashes and World Club games at teh Reebok.

The offer I've seen is in an RFL newsletter but is an offer from Salford as it requires you to email your details and a friends details to the club. I'm really annoyed. It was difficult for me to find £160 just before christmas for the season ticket and with people I know getting in free to every game so far this season it means that if they get one more freebie and buy their tickets in advance for the rest of the season then they have got a better deal than me. Add to that the fiasco over the shirts and I am beginning to get very p****d off.

The free ticket thing, is to get new people to come, then possibly come again. Shouldn't you be more than happy to put money into the club you love?

think you have missed the point Danny. i for one have been a season ticket holder for 15 years, and i dont mind the club promoting things like this but is this actually working? how do you know that the peolple who come are actually intrested. they probably give bogus adresses but yet they get a free ticket to come and watch wigan and other big games.sure it looks well having the ground full but where were they againgst quins and celtic?. thats probably what gets peoples backs up, it does mine

Bogus addresses? How do the offers and tickets get to them then? And quite frankly who cares what games that come to aslong as it is some?

MY MUM WHO HAS 3 NUMBERS ON THE GOLDEN BOND GOT 3 VOUCHERS SO ENABLING HER TO GET 6 ADULT TICKETS , I HAVE A SEASON TICKET AND SO DO MY 3 KIDS THIS HAPPEND LAST YEAR AND ITS HAPPENING ALL OVER AGAIN NEXT YEAR I AINT BOTHERING WITH A SEASON TICKET I WILL JUST WAIT FOR THE FREE ONES WE HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF AGAIN

F*cking Hell, I'm not botherd who has free tickets and who hasn't even if I did get a free ticket, I would still probably hand some money over because at the end of the day we pay our entrance fee's to provide the club money to continue to run.

Jesus Christ, I can't believe some of the idiots on here. Whinge when the club does nothing to encourage more people to come, whinge when they do.

Is it really possible for these people to get in for free every game? Because I can't believe that for one minute.

Season ticket holders, we are the converted one's & we do it to promote our club! how else are we going to convince potential new fans to come without offering these types of incentives. well done Salford, please look at the long term aim.

I am also a season ticket holder of 12 years & don't have a problem with this incentive, I am taking two lads from work who have shown interest but never been to watch a live game.

it says it all that we have to give free tickets away to people through the door in the first place. this says they need to do this just to boost numbers to look good for the franchise
