I think comic relief came a week early! naming Fitzpatrick man of the match was the best joke of the night.

all true but on the bright side the first 20 mins of the second half we played well! at 18-30 i thought if we'd of scored next again we would of gone on and won but we conceded a soft try in the corner! alker was going mad at the way randall got in to score! that turned the game into there favour again! sidlow had a top game, so did lulu again and was pleased paul in the 2nd half thought he did well. Doing my head in though that some muppets are singling out parker for abuse! TOOLS!!!!

This team is worse than the team that got relegated in 2007.

Fitzy isn't good enough anymore and hasn't been the same since he came back from his long injury in the season we went down. I don't think I've seen him beat the first man on a kick return since 2006. His positional play tonight was terrible at times.

I hate to say it but when Smith signed I warned everyone that he is a reserve grader, some people jumped up and down and said he had played for NZ blah, blah blah.

In three years time we'll still be at least a year in development behind the likes of Cas and Harlequins so what's gonna change? At least we were competitive when we came up under Harrison and I agree that this team is far worse than the one that got relegated. Remember last time we played Harlequins? That's a key problem with teams who join the SL but you have three years to invest in a good team and next season will be better. Castleford have changed about ten of their squad this season and already they are winning games but they lost by some sizeable margins last year and I think they only just sneaked into double figures with their wins points. You already have one win behind you so you already have two points on the league table. Warrington haven't!

The difference just now between you and Celtic is defence. Salford can clearly attack - they do get points on the scoreboard - but your coach needs to focus very much on defence so as not to crucify you on points difference.

It is going to be a long, hard climb for your guys but it's been done before and there are two more full seasons. Hull KR have only been in SL a couple of years and they beat us last week. It's taken them a couple of years but they've built up their team and increased their speed and skill level and they are now a force to be reckoned with. So are Quins (they have taken even longer!). It's not all doom and gloom, no matter how unenjoyable it is at the moment.

Why does every team call themselves 'terrible' after losing to us? We are a professional side with good players.

dont know if you noticed but the Shed applauded your guys off the pitch last night and its probably the third time thats happened over the years. Its not a slight on your team(who were excellant by the way) more a comment on the poor showing by our guys.

Because it's not a slight on your side, you are a good team. It's just that we're very, very poor. If you'd seen us more than just the once this season, you'd understand.

You are indeed a good team, better than what I was expecting although I haven't seen Quins play since last season. I thought both forwards & backs ran the ball in hard and you don't appear to have any real weaknesses in the team. However, looking at the tries we conceded on The Super League Show we were appalling in defence (stating the obvious I know

). Without taking anything away from Quins they didn't need to do much in attack to create the openings it was pretty much basic one on one tackling and poor positional play that let us down for virtually all the tries. Our defence has gone down the pan since '06 and we don't look like we can stop any team scoring if they get into our 20m area. The defensive line moves up far too slow allowing oppo's to get up a head of steam which puts us continually on the back foot. FWIW, I think Quins will finish top 8 this season and won't be far off top 6 as you've got some quality players (Dorn/Orr/Louis M-S to name a few) and not many teams will do a number on you.

I saw it and I appreciated it as I have done on the other occasions - can't recall it happening at any other ground in 12 years of doing all the away trips.

I enjoy the trip to Salford, from the feel of the ground, to the people I speak to and a friendly drink in the bar afterwards.
