After just one game of the new season, Widnes have parted company with former Reds coach Steve McCormack.
Seems that defeat against NL2 opposition was tougher to swallow for the Widnes board this year than it was for us last year?!
Anyone else think it's bizarre to keep a coach for the off season, only to get shut after one match?!

Known Ste Mac for many years. Genuine Top bloke.
To be honest he's lasted at Widnes longer than most would have expected. Don't know if they can find one much better.
Could do worse than go back to Cumbria if the opportunity arises.
