They are the only two I know who we have signed as well as that guy from nzw, I put my life on it they have both signed for Salford, rangi hasn't signed yet I know that.
Sammut is close enough they are just agreeing a fee with Bradford

Tim Smith will not be joining Salford next year. He is in talks for a contract extension with WTW.

Hasn't Danny Kirmond also signed an extension on his Wakefield contract too recently ?

Aiton signed for a further 4 years I believe last season
Tim Smith contracted to the end of next season and is in talks to extend hth

Like a lot of other people, I'll be glad when all this gets put to bed on the 5th Sept.

He also signed a new deal very recently.

Yup a new 3 year deal.

The fact that some of these players have recently signed extended contracts is irrelevant really. It doesn't necessarily mean that they are staying put, just that a fee would be involved, and we know Marwan is happy to pay transfer fees.

Obviously not, because so few signings have been announced yet. However, he made a bid for Elliott Whitehead, who commanded a fee, and it appears we have been chasing Rangi Chase and Gareth Hock, who would also command fees.

You want to use the fact that Koukash didn't pay a fee for a player as proof that he will.

He clearly didn't flash as much cash as The Dragons.

It was actually because Elliott didn't want to move to Salford. I'd be very surprised if the money the Bulls got from Catalans came anywhere close to the 100k Salford offered.

Both Salford and Catalans had bids accepted by Bradford. It was the player's decision to go to Catalans because he wanted to join a top four club.

The fact that Salford made a bid shows that Marwan/the club are willing to pay a transfer fee. The alternative - that, had Elliott Whitehead decided to join Salford, Marwan would have then have said "actually, no, I'm not paying a transfer fee" - is a bit ridiculous, don't you think?

Isn't it a bit silly debating now whether not the Dr is willing to finance player recruitment by transfer fees, it's a given.

the Elliot Whitehead move was proof in itself that cash on it's own is not enough , he has to improve the standing of the club in the eyes of the players as well as the spectator.
He spent well over 1 million this season just keeping the club ' ticking over ' .

He intends to do the same next season , not including monies set aside for expansive player recruitment.

All we have to do is wait until the 5th of Sept to get a measure of what the man IS prepared to do to improve the club both on and off the field. then it won't be such a matter for debate.
